Willhoite’s is one of the most unique restaurants in Texas, but it is also one of the oldest and most historical buildings in Grapevine! Built in 1914, the building first served as a dry goods store and was used for a time as a theater. In 1919, it was transformed into the first automotive garage in town: Willhoite’s Garage. Phil Parker, a Grapevine native, purchased the building in 1981 and renovated it into Willhoite’s Restaurant, restoring it as authentically as possible and keeping many aspects of the automotive shop (notably a 1927 Model T on top of the buffet). Willhoite’s exterior façade was restored in 2017 and in 2019, Willhoite’s received the Historic Preservation Award from the Grapevine Heritage Foundation.

The food was disgusting. I’m so upset. My kids wanted to go to Golden Corral but I wanted to try this due to reviews. I’m full of regret and hungry. Nothing at all tasted good. Horrible. Walmart like Swedish meatballs. Precooked roast beef slices may have been only edible item. Mashed potatoes so water it spilled through spoon. Same Mac and cheese. Watery. Sausage salty no sauce. Chicken nuggets are Walmart frozen. I mean I have ZERO NICE THINGS TO SAY. I am so upset that my time with my grands was ruined. I’m Yelp elite and for sure going on there. Waiter never asked us if we wanted a drink. Had to hunt one down. Just ICK AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Our server was amazing and very attentive. She understood that it was our first time there and helped us with any questions. We enjoyed the food. I had the Willhoite club and my husband had the Cajun Chicken breast, both were delicious. We would definitely go back again.

The lunch Buffett and salad bar were excellent! Our waitress was so helpful when we asked about the history of the building. We are from Oklahoma and stopped to eat here because of the reviews.. did not disappoint!

A group of us showed up in Mrs Roper costumes and wanted a drink to cool off inside .Some of us just had iced tea while others ate lunch and drank the special cocktails for the event. Turns out its all good! The waitstaff was super friendly and patient with us all ordering at different times.

Historical site turned into a great restaurant. They offer a buffet for lunch that almost always has something awesome, especially the salad bar! I also love their Hickory Burgers. Authentic art from the era of when the gas station/mechanic shop began. It’s also nice to be able to play pool, when the tables aren’t taken and the live music on weekends is worth checking out.

We are a large family from about 6 hrs away and came to experience Grapevine at Christmas. We came upon this establishment thinking we wouldn’t be able to be seated as all other restaurants close by were a 2 hr wait. We stopped in thinking it would be the same wait as others but Sophia, who was the manager, took us right in and cleaned the entire private room that was just occupied by another party so we would have somewhere to sit. She was amazing and made the process so seamless and enjoyable for our large family. She went over and beyond for our family. Will definitely come and see her again next time we are in the area. The music was great as well. Just all around a feel good place for all ages!

Great food, came warm and some of the best tasting chicken strips I’ve ever had, bf got chicken fried steak and mash and it was definitely enough food to satisfy two. Our meals came with salad and soup, salad bar was clean and stocked and had so many options. Jess was our waitress and she consistently checked if we needed anything else and made sure our drinks were filled and our table was clean! Definitely a place to come back to

Asked about non smoking, bar tender was sarcastic. Went to dining area and waited awhile for menu and to order drink. Was told someone would take my order shortly. Waited another 15 minutes and waitress came to my area and looked surprised said she didn’t know I was there. She was nice but I was very frustrated that I was forgotten. Food was good

It was pretty good. We went during the lunch buffet and the selection was ok. I enjoyed the pot roast and mashed potatoes. The hush puppies were pretty dry and the dessert was minimal….boxed banana pudding and ice cream.
