Chicken nachos were good but at best the cheese was warm, not much chicken. Served food without utensils and napkins. Ordered a tea 15 minutes later had to remind the waiter about it.
Grouper fish was good
Steak was good.
Great draft beer selection with good prices..We went at 5pm on Valentines day so They were really busy.
We will definitely give it a second time.
Bill was 128.00 with appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 small salads, 2 beers and a unsweetened tea. 30.00 tip total 158.00.
First of all… We thought we made a reservation at Winewood but after realizing the error we decided to give it a try.
This may be my new favorite spot
We enjoyed:
Dragon Dip & pretzel bread 4.5/5 stars
BBQ Shrimp & Grits 5/5 stars
Pecan Crusted Chicken 5/5 stars
The grits dish had fire roasted corn, poblano‘s, bacon, chives, red peppers… It was stacked in the most wonderful way & the shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked.
The chicken dish was amazing. It has the most creamy mashed potatoes and grilled beans to go with it.
We weren’t a fan of the bread pudding but they quickly took care of it… the host, server, and general manager were a delight.
Now, I know y’all are thinkin’, “What about the menu?” Well, let me tell you, partner. It’s like lookin’ at a herd of longhorns. There’s plenty to choose from, but not so many that you’ll get lost in the brush. I’ve tried the hanger steak, blackened grouper, and that dragon dip. Hook ’em, Carroll Dragons, y’all. It’s like ridin’ a wild mustang through a field of flavor. And them cocktails? Shoot, the Smoke and Fire’s like sippin’ liquid gold, y’all.
But, I gotta be honest, partner. Their wine selection’s a little lacking. I tried the Sand+Rust and Bonzana, and they were just adequate. Don’t get me wrong, y’all, but I’d rather drink sweet tea on the porch than swill subpar wine.
Now, about them cheese grits. Shoot, they’re like the Holy Grail of breakfast, y’all. I’d ride a hundred miles for a bowl of that creamy, cheesy goodness. And them asparagus? Well, I reckon they’re a mite big, but they wrangled ’em on the griddle like pros.
All in all, Wildwood Southlake’s got it goin’ on, y’all. They’re servin’ up some mighty fine grub, and I’d reckon it’s worth saddlin’ up and ridin’ on over. So, mosey on down, and don’t forget to order them cheese grits. Y’all won’t regret it, by gum.
They got my order wrong but the server couldn’t be found for at least 10 minutes . I sent it back and asked for a small side because the rest of the party was already finished and didn’t want them to have to wait another 20 minutes for food . They still charged me for the original item that I sent back and she disappeared for another 10 minutes trying to “find a computer that would turn on” I eventually had my party go wait in the car for me and I walked around looking for another server to help me find our server.
Very disappointing
The food is cooked right, just the flavors aren’t really there in what we tried. It looks amazing, but the look is mightier than the flavor here. The pretzel bread is good, but the sauce lacks something . My chicken steak meal or breast was ok nothing to come back for. My wife didn’t really care for the burger. Great service but the flavors just wasn’t there. The fries were amazing though
The pecan crusted chicken at this place is absolutely insane. The vibes here are always immaculate, with a small outdoor patio.
Bunch of TVs in the bar area to watch sports.
The only thing I would try to avoid here is getting seated in the back room. The noise levels are typically high in this room, but they only seem to have reservations in there for private parties or just in the event that they are super busy people get overflowed into that room.
