Only my 2nd time in Montrose and was searching for a nice glass of wine. So happy I stumbled into this establishment! Loved the western saloon vibe with country tunes and of course, friendly staff! The bartender even had her beautiful calm Bernese Mountain dog hanging out, which I love as a dog lover myself!
The wine and whiskey menu were both very extensive.
We ordered the charcuterie board and it was very delicious!
10/10 would recommend and come back again!

I was a guest in Montrose to provide disaster training for Animal, Agriculture and Food Related Disasters…Scott was an active participant, eager to support his community and the county…I stopped in to visit and see this beautiful establishment.
The hospitality was pure joy with introductions, fabulous Old Fashions, card playing, laughter and stories. Wonderful friendships were made and further support for their neighboring Speak Easy, Phelanies, ended with hugs, warm hearts and a Montrose Visit that will be cherished.
I’ll be back soon.

I was driving my semi truck through Montrose Colorado, when my radiator sprung a leak and I was detained here for several days. While exploring the town I happened to get lucky and come across Wild Horse Wine and Whiskey on a day when they were open. The only thing wrong with this place is that it is not open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. They have a HUGE selection of American Whiskeys. The owners, Scott and Lisa, are the ones who will probably be serving you and they have traveled all over and know all about whiskey. You will have lots to talk about if you sit at the bar and if you choose not to sit at the bar there is plenty of room, a fireplace, a working antique piano, a second floor, and Wild Horse Wine and Whiskey looks like a great place to have an event if you are looking for a place to have a big party. I would throw a wild west party here if I had the chance. It’s the perfect venue.

Stop looking at where to go and just go here. Owners are fantastic, prices are reasonable, and you will not find a better atmosphere. My wife and I stumbled upon this and had a fantastic night. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was absolutely perfect. We had a great evening , made some new friends, and will absolutely return.

Beautiful bar and wonderful service. I felt like I was transported to Telluride when I stepped into this new local spot. I personally do not drink whiskey (I had a delicious Riesling) but my friends definitely enjoyed the whiskey!

We enjoyed the atmosphere at the Wild Horse on a Thursday. Not as busy as Friday and Saturdays. We enjoyed our charcuterie board (limited menu) and while Chuck enjoyed his local beer; I enjoyed two old fashions. One with a high-end local bourbon and the other was a top shelf bourbon but this one was smoked tableside. Will be back this upcoming weekend. Our new favorite place for drinks. Hoping in the future they will have a whiskey and cigar club upstairs. Thank you Scott & Juli.
