Chef’s tasting menu is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s also a two hour experience in a peaceful setting with attentive, knowledgeable staff. We arrived a little early for our 7 pm reservation, we were seated promptly and had a delicious cocktail. The first course was served about 7:20. About 15 minutes between courses. We opted for the wine pairing, but if you’re not a wine enthusiast (I’m not) it’s probably not worth it. Next time I go, I’ll pass on it. We also opted for the “Eggs Benedict” for $95 which is only a single serving. While it was wildly delicious it’s pretty pricey for a single bite. Our tab, without tip was $500 for two. We had a great experience and plan to visit again.

There is street parking, pay to park, or there is a small parking lot at 216 Rutledge Ave around the corner. Small portions but excellent tasting food! Hints of French and Japanese cuisine.

We had a wonderful experience eating at Wild Common. From the time we walked in the service was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful. This is a tasting menu restaurant. All you have to do is sit back and relax and enjoy the food! What I loved about this restaurant is that every single dish that came out the chef or the sous chef came out to explain the dish and the ingredients. I would definitely go back if I’m in town to visit again!

Food was delicious, service was great, but if more protein was given it would have been a home run. We left hungry 🙁

Best meal we had in Charleston! First of all the entrance to the restaurant is stunning. We sat on the chef’s table which was the best choice. All of the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Nadia who took care of us was great. The chef even came to explain to us how he prepared one of the dishes that we loved. Everything from start to finish was delicious. My favorites were the grilled oysters with tomato butter and the scallop. The peach dessert was also so so good! I could have had another one. I had the bramble cocktail and it was delicious, sweet yet refreshing. Looking forward to coming back next time I’m in town.

It was a wonderful atmosphere, not noisy at all. We did feel a tad bit rushed during the service is all but the food was great.

We’re from Switzerland, but always try to eat at one of charleston’s best when we’re visiting family. So glad we finally got a reservation while we were in town, as it was impossible last time we were here during Christmas.

The name says it all…there is something magical and wild about the restaurant though the food felt nothing short of common. The setting and the décor of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, it feels as if you have entered a Michelin star restaurant. My heart was fluttering with joy of what I had embarked on and the food I was about to taste. The restaurant offers a set menu with few supplements at additional cost (caviar and wagyu beef) and wine paring, and might I add that our waitress gave a very generous pours. We stared off with a crab rice with kale chips followed by few other forgettable starters, thankfully the sparkling wine was a hit. Our first main course was the scallops which unfortunately were only seared on one side, shame because they looked great and if properly seared would have tasted great, however the Santa Barbara Grüner was a total disaster, why would you pair an Santa Barbara Grüner when you have an Austrian one that was 100% better! Our second course was listed as wreck fish which is similar to the grouper, however it is a local fish but instead when served we were told it was a grouper, which unfortunately was under cooked, the center was cold and had to be sent back. The fish was also paired with a red Burgundian wine that was at room temperature, which if you have dined long enough, you should know that if you are paring a red wine with fish, it should be chilled. Surprising since they have a sommelier in house! The dessert was forgettable, a dry match cake with tapioca…again thankfully it was paired with an excusable dessert wine. Finally, I have to mention the soft serve ice cream that was served at the end, I would never serve that again as it was just chocolate ice. The biggest disappoint of it all was that if the food was on par with the décor and the setting and the service (and if the wine glasses were polished), Wild Common would be worthy of its appearance.

Are you kidding me?!? One of the best meals I’ve ever had!! Super cute dinner spot with a prefix menu. Service was incredible and the food really takes you on a journey. Definitely expensive, but worth it if you call yourself a ‘foodie.’ The CockPuff house made whiskey was definitely fun!
