One of my favorite spots , this location was very clean and the young man working the register was super nice he appeared to be doing multiple jobs because the staff that was working with him wasn’t doing nothing but the food did come out amazing

I hadn’t been to this one in a few years. The food and service was much better than last time. I had the catfish Friday special. Best hushpuppy and cornbread I’ve had in decades, too. Loved the mac and cheese and vegetables, too. You could taste the flavor of the food instead of salt. Last time begore that the predominant flavor was salt. which was why I was concerned about trying it again. It was all delicious and generous portions. I hope I can visit it again and try something else on the menu.

I went through the drive thru. Before I could ask the cashier a question, she shut the window in my face. She open the window and told me to pull up to the railing. She then came out and told me to park to the left. I ended up just going in. When I got in. I could hear the workers in the back yelling and cursing. Very unprofessional. I told the cashier I was wainting for my order. The cashier went and asked about it. I kept hearing “I told that lady” . She was rude and had a attitude. It looks like a lot of teenagers working. Customer service was horrible. I rather go to Popeyes or churches chicken.

For this place to always have a line, you’d think the food is incredible. Sorry but the mac n cheese tastes like cheesy eggs, rice is always undercooked, the pot roast is suspicious and the pork chops are actually breaded tenderloin chops. I just think the people who actually enjoy this place, can’t cook themselves or never had REAL soul food. Just because a black cook made it doesn’t mean it’s a “Soul Food” restaurant. Also, they are really big on portion control so it’s just not worth the price

If you are looking for authentic Southern flavors with lots of menu options, then Wife Saver is definitely the place. From fried catfish, to broccoli and cheese, casserole, cabbage, fried okra, chicken livers and gizzards, to banana pudding. They offer something for all tastes. The best fried chicken in the city.
