I loved my food. It was so tasty and the desert was tops. Johnny was an awesome server, the best. I would come back on any day. No complaints for my 1st time. Plenty of parking, amazing food, good drinks and fantastic service…all equals a great time for me.

Food is above average. Service and environment are about average. It did take a while to get our food but it was a Saturday night so i can forgive that. Prices were about what you’d expect, maybe $1-2 more than other places in town. Overall, a satisfying but underwhelming experience.

First visit. Food was wonderful! We had their new Eggrolls Al Pastor that came with a spicy dipping sauce. Very tasty. My wife ordered a chile relleno and a taco . Both very good. I had a shrimp salad and two margaritas on the rocks.. Service was excellent. Will visit again. We really like the way they’ve decorated the interior!

Food here is mostly great. The food is well seasoned and delicious. The restaurant is clean and is well decorated and is probably the best decorated Mexican restaurant I’ve seen. It’s also my second favorite place to order wings. The staff are always super friendly and always deserve at least a 20% tip.

The only thing I’d have to say is a con is maybe the chicken isn’t as well seasoned as the other meats. It’s been that way several times I’ve come here but I don’t come here that often so I don’t know if that is a consistent thing.

Subpar food with long wait times . Watched several guest get seated after my party and watched them eat and leave before we even got our food. Waited 1.5 hours after ordering to receive our meals.

We had great service! The waiter was super sweet and on top of things. The ambience is set by bull related Mexican decorations. I wasn’t too happy about their guacamole, however the food was good and fairly priced. Everyone in our table enjoyed their meals. The bathroom was something that needed more attention. My rate is based on having decent food, a pleasant atmosphere and awesome waiters!

We love this place! We’re from El Paso and this is seriously the closest we’ve found to home food. The portions are huge! They have a ton of flavor! And the atmosphere is so whimsical. The staff is always so kind and lovely. Highly recommend.

El Toro Mexican restaurant is located on Ft. Campbell Blvd in Clarksville Tennessee. There are so many Mexican restaurants, so it is hard for a restaurant to differentiate itself from the mass of others. El Toro does not do that as it once did.

Prior to Covid, El Toro featured a Mexican buffet. While the food on the buffet was not always the absolute greatest, the variety of Mexican fare and novelty of a Mexican buffet more than made up for a few less than stellar offerings. Imagine my disappointment to find out the El Toro buffet is gone.

With the buffet gone, El Toro is like the other thousands of Mexican restaurants in Clarksville Tennessee. Personally, I feel like the quality and taste of food from El Toro is better than most other Mexican restaurants. The ground beef in the tacos had an actual flavor, unlike the bland offerings of others. The salsa had a spicy flavor. Unlike the no taste salsa of other Mexican restaurants. I have lamented before of the bland Americanized flavors of local Mexican restaurants. El Toro features more authentic Mexican flavors and spices than you will find elsewhere.

While I liked the food, the service was atrocious. Perhaps the particular employee was having an off day. It happens. Just be cognizant of the issue of poor service.

One other negative aspect of El Toro was the gas quality of the restrooms. It was bad. While you don’t eat in the bathroom, how clean and sanitary are the employees/food prep areas if the bathrooms are in this condition.

While I found the food to be excellent at El Toro Mexican restaurant, without the buffet, it shall remain a pass to me.

The steak was amazing. Choriqueso was great etc. Honestly need to go back. My husband mentions it daily

Update: we’ve been back multiple times, ordered carry out too. The Jalisco special is delicious. The veggie medley in my opinion is perfect
