I had high hopes walking into Wienerschnitzel, but unfortunately, it was a letdown from start to finish. The prices are surprisingly high for what you get—basic hot dogs and fries that taste no better than something you’d microwave at home. Definitely not worth the cost. The lemonade. I don’t know what they mixed, but it was below mid watered-down, and tasted like it came from a cheap powder mix. For a place charging premium prices for fast food, the quality just isn’t there. Won’t be going back.

Very exciting to see a Wienerschnitzel in Idaho.
My first impression the building is very small. The lobby is quite small, barely any tables and chairs. The layout sucks.
Employees were nice, our food took a while, which I could understand because just opened up last month.
Sign up on their site and there’s coupons that you can use.
Taste just like any other Wienerschnitzel in CA, it’s a nostalgic thing.
The only issue I have is not enough chili on the dogs, fries and burgers.
That’s what it’s know for lots of chili smothered on the food, getting your hands messy, using lots of napkins.

I’ve been to many Wienerschnitzel locations, but the one in Meridian, Idaho stands out as my absolute favorite! The food is consistently amazing with high-quality ingredients—everything tastes fresh and flavorful.
I love how they nail custom orders: I requested well-done fries, and they came out perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and piping hot. The whole meal was hot and fresh—nothing had been sitting around; it was obvious it was made to order. The chili dogs are loaded just right with that signature chili, buns are super soft, and portions are generous (no shrinkflation here like at other chains).
This place delivers classic fast food done exceptionally well. Whenever I’m on this side of the state, it’s my go-to for lunch—you won’t be disappointed if you’re craving hot dogs or chili cheese fries!

The food isn’t bad, especially for the price. It definitely isn’t fine dining! But when you got a craving, you just got to feed it. The service is alright, teenagers that mumble a lot – but they did bring it out to us, so that was cool! The inside dining area is very small and cold in the winter, I’m guessing it’s a lot more fun in the warmer weather. BTW, we got a chili dog, chili cheese fries, and the Polish sandwich – I was impressed with the serving sizes, we couldn’t eat it all (not that we should have)

Burger was dry and tasted terrible, hot dog was a little better.. The chilli just tasted like something straight out of a can. It’s not that great tasted gross. The cheese kind of smoothes things out.. Presentation is terrible, obviously chilli is messy, but things were just everywhere for both the hotdog and the burger. Fries were pretty good so no complaint.
Customer service was great, went through drive through at 2:30pm young lady was quick and moving. So drive through line moves fast!
Thanks for the experience but honestly I’d prefer a refund. #3 was not worth 11 dollars.

Good but not OMG Best EVER food. Smallish hotdogs for the price but definitely better prices than surrounding fast food. Burgers have been REALLY yummy and Mac and cheese is better than most. Definitely decent bang for the buck in the economy these days but totally keep an eye out for the coupons. Their watermelon lemonade was the absolute best though

Good help, except for ordering, AI, and not good. Ordered at the window, really helpful almost as good as I remember as a kid. To much cheese on the chili cheese, floating in it, dogs were good!
Ordered sauerkart dogs with mustard they almost forgot the mustard, but did give more than enough!
Will definitely go again

I got a Chicago dog, cheese fries and a wild berry lemonade.
The Chicago dog was ok. It didn’t have the neon green relish, which is fine, most places done, but the sport peppers were great.
The cheese on the cheese fries wasn’t melted which was a disappointment and they could have been cooked a bit more, which would have helped the melting issue.
The wild berry lemonade was amazing. Very refreshing and a switch from other places IMO that have to throw a bunch of fruit in a cup to get in the way of my drink. I will go back here for sure if for nothing else for this alone.
There are a lot of other things on their menu that I would love to try. One thing is they are NOT gluten friendly. Their chili contains gluten, which I was able to confirm with what appeared to be the manager as well as all hotdogs somehow except for their all beef dogs. They also do not offer gluten free buns so there’s that too. But my gluten-free SO was able to have a Chicago dog without the bun, cheese fries and not get sick, so that was a bonus. We’ll be back.

Worst of the worst . Dried out dog like it sat in a gas station roller for 3 days . Absolutely disgusting. I have been to other locations in California and the dogs are steamed and not burned to a crisp. Food quality is horrible

I overheard some people talking about Wienerschnitzel opening, and I thought, okay, I will go try it out, but I did not realize it was just their first week of being open.
There was a massive wait at the drive-through line, but I learned from In-n-Out to just go stand in the wait line outside, which only took me about 30 minutes, and I had some very pleasant conversations with other people waiting.
.
Pros- Food was very tasty, well-packaged, and not overpriced. I ordered the Chili-cheese dog, Kraut dog, and the Polish sandwich. I made sure to get the Kraut dog with a regular weiner, the Chili-cheese dog with the all beef weiner, and, of course, the Polish sandwich had the Polish weiner. All tasted good, but nothing really stood out.
My preferred way to order a hot dog is with sauerkraut and mustard,so I was very happy to see that this is their standard preparation on the menu.
Chili-cheese dog was highly recommended by most of the people in line, and it was not messy and had full flavored chili. I can definitely understand why it is popular.
All the staff were all very chill and not stressed for dealing with the high-turnout crowd.
.
Cons- There was no one outside of the restaurant welcoming the many people standing in line, as I have seen done at other restaurant openings in the area.
I did not notice, but I wish they had some foot-long options, as all of their hot dogs seem kind of small. The dining room and take-out area are very small and not really accommodating for an opening crowd. There isn’t any parking directly adjacent to the restaurants, but there is a large free parking lot, which is several yards behind the location. You will need to cross over the drive-through area to walk inside.
Their app is only 2.8 stars and seems to not work very well, so I would not recommend downloading it.
The manager was present and doing a good job, but he did not have a smile on his face, so that gave me a little anxiety at the experience. I wish the rest of the staff were dressed better and more presentable. It seems their uniform is just a dark, dirty t-shirt.
.
On my next return trip, I plan to purchase some of their other offerings (including the veggie dog), so I can report on the French fries and Ice cream shakes, but I doubt I will be getting a Burger there, as that is not something they specialize in, and many places, I am sure do it better. Also, there is no report on the restroom situation yet, but there is one available inside.
I’m giving a 5-star review because I see a lot of potential here, especially since the staff was so accommodating and the prices were quite reasonable.

********* UPDATE **********
Food was good but service was sloppy and alarming! When paying with a card they took my card at the window, then kept it hostage while they prepared the order. I don’t like having the card out of my possession or out of my site for very long. They seem to just take your card and lay it down on a counter unattended! Although there may be cameras inside the restaurant, I do not know what is happening with my card. I filled-out the on-line survey and even emailed corporate, but in both instances, I received a very generic, plain, emotionless response, so I will not be returning to this or any other location, if this is their policy.
