Honestly stopped in just for the meme. The place itself was interesting to say the least, but clean. Bathrooms were clean too.
I was pleasantly surprised by the dog itself. I got the all beef dog and it was nice and warm, had a nice bite to it, with good flavor. Although I’ll probably never go again, I’m happy we made a pitstop and it worked out!

See a big Weiner on the side of the road that adorns a building then of course you have to stop. Small spot with indoor seating, fast service and pretty good dogs. A little pricey for a single hot dog but you get a chance to snag a t-shirt too. Worth getting the shirt to bring home.

Not only was this a fun “roadside attraction” of sorts in Mackinaw City, but it was also a delicious place to have lunch on a sunny, summer day. “The Mackinaw” and “Coney Dog” were fabulous and there are zero complaints at all about the waffle fries… delicious and ample amounts of chili and/or cheese sauce! Yum!

The food was excellent. I had two Italian sausage dogs with sautéed onions and peppers, and a side of chili cheese waffle fries. Outstanding! As many times as I’ve been to Mackinaw City I’ve never stopped here to eat. I will from now on. Great food!

We did not eat so I can’t give a review on the food…I did buy a shirt… they did not have the color or size I wanted out…but I asked and they will make you one right there on the spot… they don’t open till like 11am or so… we had to go back when they opened ha ha I needed a shirt…

Very good food and very helpful staff. I have kids with food allergies and they were very helpful answering questions about what is in their items. They have the labels from original boxes they let me look at to make sure no ingredients would cause problems. Also the food was delicious. We had the bratwurst, Italian sausage, mackinaw dog, fries and strawberry milkshake. The milk shake had lots of fresh strawberry pieces in it, so good.

Three stars ‘cause they don’t know how to cook a Koegel. Hot dog tasted like it was sitting in hot water and served on a cheap bun. Otherwise, all the ingredients on my Chicago and my wife’s Coney were very good.
Fries have the potential to be great if not served with a side of old oil.
Atmosphere provides and old-school diner feel.
Staff was very friendly and service was quick.

Who would’ve ever thought a wiener could be sooooo good! This was my second time setting this place and I just had to stop… especially since my son was with me and lived hot dogs… he wanted to try several… we both ended up getting the Chicago style… when I say… DELICIOUS… that’s an understatement. Not sure what the 3% service fee was for, when cash was used, they’d no notification posted anywhere. They also have a veggie option. Menu listed.

Passing through Mackinaw stabbed to have lunch here. We thought it would be a very quick lunch. The place was really busy. It was a Sunday but they did have tables outside and you could bring your dog up with you and sit at your table. There were tables inside plenty of choices for hot dogs and waffle fries I had bathrooms but that was just one stall each so that was a little bit of a wate for that.
