Met some friends for lunch. It was the first time for all of us to enjoy lunch here. The owner was great and a pleasure to talk to. The food was outstanding and a bonus is they have Merkts cheese. I will definitely be back once I’m in the area again.

I’ve gone here since I was a child but I’ll try to not be bias or nostalgic. Honestly as far as hot dogs go at $5 plus tax this place is expensive comparatively. You get what you pay for though, was ready super quick, dog was a steaming Vienna sausage and all the standard Chicago veggies were crispy and fresh. The sport peppers were perfect with some nice kick. I will return again

The fries looked like they were refried too many times, or they use old oil for too long. They offered me “fresh” fries, but came out immediately with a basket of what looked to be from the same batch! So sad

Walked in for a little snack at around 6:30pm. No line, order was taken in seconds, and served a minute later. AMAZING!
The chicken gyro with pickles was delectable. Atmosphere is nice. Many tables. Nice fountain drink machine. Clean bathrooms. One wooden table outside.

A group of 5 visiting from out of state ordered carry out for lunch. Everyone agreed the fast food was tasty. We had a small hiccup with one order that missed some of the requested customizations, otherwise great service. I had two hotdogs (chili cheese with onions, and the chard dog) with a side order of fried mushrooms. Good-sized portions. For takeout, the temperature was hot and the food was fresh. If I lived locally, I would return for certain.this was my first experience with the melted mertks cheese; it was soooo good!

I am extremely sad to write this review since we’ve been long time huge fans of wiener take all even after new ownership they even catered my sons birthday party last year!
But I just spent $51 worth of food ….which usually is no big deal since it’s wiener take all and we love it and honestly it was the worst we’ve ever had !
I’m surely hoping it was an off day and the owner makes it right because he’s a good guy … but the Gyro meat was completely burnt it was so hard it was chewy my son couldn’t eat any of it and there was barely any sauce on it !
we had someone’s random order in our bag that we never place as well
and on top of that the side of your meat as well was burnt so that couldn’t be eaten ♀️
the hotdog had maybe a couple onions on it but a overpowering amount of relish … all soggy I just don’t understand what happened ?
it kind of even tasted like dirty water … you know like it tasted a little foul even then pita has the same taste … and that is definitely not how this restaurant usually presents their food!

Great char dog! It’s sliced/slashed before being charred so it has some great flavor to it—along with ample toppings. Want an extra large char dog? They have that too!
