I didn’t expect much for an airport restaurant, but the food was not too bad at all. We ordered a Summer Rainbow and a miso soup. Sushi was fresh, but the miso was a little weak. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The price was high, of course.

Nice place to hang out for a layover. I usually travel through ORD for all flights so I’ve been her about 4-5 times. Get the bowl and customize if you want to. I feel like its a better value for the price compared to the rolls.

This place has amazing food. The only problem is the tables are way to close together and it’s like they are sitting in your lap. No privacy or conversation. The waitresses are confused but the who order by scan bar or giving them a menu. There was a very rude Asian man who was irritated he was in an airport and the seafood wasn’t fresh. I have been to many sushi restaurant and this one has been at better then most. The poke bowl was amazing and so was the sushi. I would recommend stopping by. Its cost is comparable to all the restaurants in the airport.

I don’t know what people expected for sushi at an airport in Chicago? You’re at O’Hare, not Haneda. The food is actually decent, most people are probably just upset about the price.

Service is definitely on the ruder side, I guess getting sushi chefs in this part of Chicago was no easy feat.

Went to eat some good sushi here after a long flight. We were very polite and even tried to hold a conversation with the bartender. However she started arguing with the man next to us, and as she walked away made fun of him. The entire she was very rude to everyone. I hope her day gets better, because clearly by her attitude she was having a bad day. We left a small tip, $7, on a $78 tab, because the service was so bad. We usually tip 25-35% for even mediocre service. As we were walking away she looked at the receipt and said “Seriously, that’s it?”

Yes, that’s it. Bad service does not warrant a good tip. Buyer beware: Good, expensive, food but TERRIBLE service.

acceptable food that gets you fed before your flight. don’t expect any standout flavors or particularly impressive preparation. It’s functional airport sushi.
The service was the best part of the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, which made the visit pleasant even if the food itself didn’t excite.

Food = 3/5. It’s ok, nothing special but would have expected more for the price and menu. I’ve ordered oysters and Salmon Poke. Was missing a kick.

Service = 1/5. The employee was unfriendly to certain customers (my age, my gender) but was smiley and nice to another customer (man around 50 years old). Might be just a coincidence. I left her a note to explain why I haven’t given a gratuity which I almost always give when I receive a minimum level of respect. She suddenly went on break when she gave me my invoice with no one left to make me pay than the cooker.

Service was super slow. At least, the cooker was polite. She almost felt bad for her colleague when she saw my feedbacks.

Atmosphere =3/5. Kind of cold due to the employee welcome (or rather lack of). At least, we have a nice view on terminal and planes.

I had a short layover and thankfully the restaurant wasn’t busy so the service was fast, but not overly friendly, and while the food was delicious, it was expensive!

I’ve eaten here twice and there’s something deeply wrong to make the staff so rude. Multiple waiters ignored me multiple times of me just trying to ask how I can order or where I should sit. And no they were not in the middle of serving other customers. Either they are treated so poorly that they want to take it out on the customers or they are encouraged to be rude. In any case it’s definitely not helping their sales. Really unbelievable.

Very expensive; used to be better in years past. Good cuts of fish and decent sushi, but inconsistent service, loud and almost comically bad music playing, and very high prices for what you get. I got four pieces of nigiri and three pieces of sashimi, and a bottle of Evian. Green tea is not offered at this sushi place, which is astounding, but oh well. The total came to $79. In Tokyo a month ago for $80 I got a full omakase experience with many courses and tea on a high level. Here in Chicago, this is VERY expensive for what little you get. Complicated QR online ordering interface. Probably won’t come back anymore, which is a real shame since this for many years was my favorite airport restaurant.
