I never see this place bustling, came into an empty store, took the cashiers recommendation and had a loaded baked potato with pulled pork, a side of green beans, and a side of coleslaw. Everything was excellent. The potato was fresh, the green beans were unique (brown sugar?), and the vinegar coleslaw was on point. Despite the good food, with all the local great barbecue, I don’t know what keeps them open.

Maybe things have went downhill lately, I can’t believe there are any positive reviews on here. The pulled pork was disgusting, wet like boiled meat with no smoke flavor about it whatsoever. The baked beans had a funny chemical taste & frankly would have been better if they weren’t seasoned at all. It seemed like the cornbread had been frozen at some point because it was really dry & crumbly. I was absolutely disappointed.

Ordered from door Dasher and one part of the order was missing. I now know that it must have been dasher’s fault. The problem I have is instead of just explaining it nicely and professionally the manager became defensive and rude. Good food but I won’t ever eat there again.

I’m going to give this place one more shot. The food is good, no doubt–especially when craving a bbq with cole slaw, but that could be because I haven’t been able to find another place to get it that way, as yet. The sides are good. The service absolutely sucked the one time we got food from there. I saw where someone used the word “racist” to describe the place, but I think that is a bit unfair. I believe they just hate everyone.

They catered for our company’s picnic. The food was great, of what we could have. A bunch of us were late, because of traffic and missed our time of lunch. Some stuff was still out but very little. Someone from the park had told them to set more food out because people were late. The lady setting out food was rude from the beginning and had gotten worse as she was told to put more out and extend our lunch time. Once others did come in, the drinks that we were to get was taken up and no more brought out. The food was great, service was extremely bad.

This place used to be great . I wish i could upload a picture of the blob i just ordered . Its half the size of what they used to be and my coke was filled to the rim with ice and only had a few sips of coke in it . I will no longer be eating here and will be getting my bbq elsewhere . The guy running the register was extremely rude to a customer in front of me and to me as well. Get it together whitts before you go under . You guys used to be great 🙁

It’s ok. It’s nothing compared to Monroe county open pit BBQ. But it’ll do in a pinch when you’re hungry for BBQ. The pulled pork tasted like it was boiled and not smoked. The beans were bland.

This was the NASTIEST place ever…ceiling tiles water spotted & leaking..AC must have been on blitz as had a portable one right middle of dining area. Catering supplies piled on corner of dining area..BATHROOM TERRIBLE..FOOD HAS FALLEN TO A BELOW STANDARD..it used to be really good. My LAST visit ever!!!
