Honestly not very good, the sides of course are your typical bland bbq sides the bbq itself was ok but nothing to brag about. It’s a regional chain so not really any surprise there.

I had never eaten at a Whitt’s Barbecue until this one opened in Cookeville. The funny thing is, I never order bbq from here, because I got stuck on their BBQ chickens from the beginning! I normally get a half chicken by itself. Unfortunately, most bbq places don’t have side items that are worth the money to me, and this is true here as well. I also get the bbq potato on occasion, and if you haven’t gotten it before, be ready….IT’S HUGE!!! Over all it’s a good place. The employees are always friendly as well.

We had the Pork plates with Mac & cheese and white beans. The meat was so tender & juicy that no sauce was necessary & that’s how BBQ meat should be. The staff wa very friendly & knowledgeable. We will definitely be repeat customers now.

Basically drive through only. Whitt’s has long been a family favorite. We don’t have anything like it in our area, so we stopped to bring a meal with us to where we are traveling. The pulled pork is the best.

Very good customer service skills especially for today’s employees. Little girl who waited on me was the extra mile like 10 years ago. Thank you for hiring good employees. Food was delivered fast and was great. I tipped her extra because she was 1 in a million on taking care of customers and making sure to cover everything and upselling without being pushy or too aggressive. Great experience. Will definitely be back.

Ordered right after they opened and they missed the side of coleslaw. Mac and cheese is predictably bland just like every other BBQ place on earth.
The giant potatoes were actually quite large. So large in fact that they didn’t get it cooked all the way through.
The BBQ itself was acceptable. Generic as can be, but that’s not unexpected.
Service was fast. Would rather have had slower service so my order would have been filled correctly and my potato actually cooked fully.
2 stars cause the BBQ was alright, everything else sure sucked though.

Whitt’s catered my wedding. The food was absolutely delicious, and Chris was very easy to work with and even went above and beyond to deliver the food himself when he did not have an available worker. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because Chris called me an hour before the food was supposed to be delivered to the venue to ask if it was alright if he could go ahead and drop it off, as he was already there, which did cause a bit of issue with the day’s timeline and my schedule for getting ready. Other than that, it was great.
