My daughter got BBQ chicken, collars, Mac n cheese and hush puppies. She’s taking half home. She loved it.

I ate here twice in the last two months. Both times were a disappointment. Slaw and fries were good but I wound up tossing most of the chicken. The breading had entirely too much salt, dry, and was barely warm. It seemed like it was left under a heat lamp.

I am shocked at the bad reviews because my family and I went today around 5 and if was really good. The service was great, the food was great. Everything was fresh, im not a huge fan of mayo forward potato salad but you could tell effort was put into it, and Green beans were really good and seasoned, fried chicken was on point – and we even bought some of the barbecue sauce one of the women made because it was soon good! And idk who is responsible for those creme brule doughnuts but oh my lort. Anyway, we were made to feel like they were grateful we were there, and im wondering if its because they get low traffic from reviews, location or competition, but either way- OUR experience was great!

Stopped in at the food hall.my wife and I decided to get barbecue. We stood there with the young lady walking back and forth with a plate of food at least 4 different times . Finally she came up and helped the lady in front of us then walked off again after helping her. After walking by us a few more times she said I will be with y’all in a minute. Still no help after 5 minutes so we decided to eat elsewhere. We will not be back.

I stopped by White Swan Bar-B-Q & Fried Chicken in Selma, and it did not disappoint! The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and seasoned all the way through—truly some of the best I’ve had. The hot honey sandwich was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, with just the right kick. If you’re craving classic Southern comfort food, this is the place to go!

Dropped in at the Old North Food Hall to try it for the first time. We placed our orders, and while my brother received the correct order, I didn’t. I didn’t think it would be hard to get a chicken and bbq combo platter since that’s about as basic a North Carolina bbq order one can get…or at least it USED to be. Of course, I have to take some blame for not checking my order in its entirety before I walked out. I got to the car and realized that the chicken part of my combo order was missing, so I had to go back for it. I got home only to realize that instead of fries and cole slaw for sides, I had fries and mac-n-cheese (which is what my brother ordered). Again, I should have checked completely before I walked out. I made the mistake of thinking the young person serving us would be as attentive as we were when we worked food service jobs many years ago, and I should’ve known better. The kid was nice enough, so I didn’t want to carve him up in front of other customers and perhaps his supervisor. Still, though, I’m left with the impression that he couldn’t spell “cat” if I spotted him the “c” and the “t.” All this AFTER we gave a tip, too. When will I ever learn?
