Really good food in a really nice setting. The inside is very nice and rustic, with a nice creek running through the back that you can see through the big windows.

The staff were great, very nice and responsive, service was quick and prompt with a smile. However, that is where anything good to say ends. The food was odd in some cases (getting cottage cheese and celery sticks instead of bread or some normal free-starter) and awful in others. The beef wellington was soggy, barely any mushroom patte, the sauce was likely sitting for longer than a week prior to serving, and the duck was dry; additionally the sides they came with were some extremely bland steamed vegetables with no seasoning whatsoever; the rice was soggy and also lacking flavor.

We searched high and low in the Cleveland area to find a place that served beef wellington and finally found this gem of a restaurant. We were a little leery when we got there, the parking lot and outside need a little TLC, but the inside was like a beautiful time capsule. We absolutely loved the charm and antiquity of the decor. The view was absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I couldn’t believe how ‘unrushed’ we were. They weren’t trying to hurry us along or flip our table. They took their time with each course and it was probably one of the most relaxing dining experiences we’ve ever had. We laughed about the cottage cheese at first, but gave it a try and loved it. The bread was delicious, the scallops perfectly cooked, and our entrées were fantastic. It was a 45min drive for us but well worth it. We will definitely be back!

This was our first experience at this restaurant. The appetizers were really tasty and well plated to give the elegant feel. The entrees were okay but didn’t hit as well as the appetizers. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday and we barely got seats so I highly recommend placing reservations ahead of time.

Early Sunday dinner. When we are out of town, we look for hidden treasures and non chain restaurants. White Oaks turned out to be the perfect choice. Unique, charming atmosphere, loaded with local history. Service was first rate. The salmon was fresh, perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned-sincerely one of the best salmon dinners I have ever enjoyed. From our cocktails to dessert, everything exceeded our expectations. We will make this a destination.

We enjoyed our dinner experience today. It has been awhile since being there. My husband had beef wellington and I, the ribeye special. They did not disappoint. Had shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and they were large and delicious, I loved there cocktail sauce. My husband had the portobello mushroom appetizer of which he enjoyed. Definitely recommend and we will be back!

My parents come in to town a few times a year, we visit a lot of restaurants in the area but White Oaks never let’s us down. They have amazing service that keeps drinks fresh, food flowing, and a great atmosphere for a great dinner. It’s perfect for date nights, or a good casual dining experience without all the chaos of the chain restaurants. It’s perfectly placed on the river hillside in an old speakeasy, the decor matches and gives a good atmosphere although slightly outdated. Our waitress on her first week there did an amazing, I wish I remembered her name but was funny, and very tentative. The food was above par, from the fresh bread, veggies with cottage cheese(very sweet and unique), house salds(awesome dressings) before the entrées. This was our third awesome visit, the sides lack a little seasoning. This time we got the rack of lamb chops, pork tenderloin, and the Cajun yellowfin tuna. All were cooked amazing, the tuna is cooked closer to medium unless asked for otherwise, the cranberry on the tenderloin was amazing, and the glaze on the lamb was delicious! We will definitely be back again, and highly recommend checking them out! You won’t regret the great views, and food!
