White Dog Café – Chester Springs

White Dog Café (Chester Springs) was a truly standout experience! The food was delicious, and you can really taste the freshness and quality of the local farm ingredients — such a wonderful touch. The lunch portions were just right for a midday meal. It is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality definitely shows.

As a vegetarian, I loved that they offer a separate vegetarian menu — it was perfect for me and made ordering so much easier. ✨

The ambiance gives off a warm, rustic, farm-to-table vibe that feels both classy and cozy. A great spot for a relaxed but elevated lunch with friends or family. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu! ️

This is a wonderful experience.
White dog pics everywhere.
Reception was awesome as we entered the place. The waitress showed up in no time and took time to explain their philosophy of using local ingredients and preparing the food afresh for every order.
We had questions about the menu which she patiently answered. She shared her personal choices and recommendations.
As I am a vegetarian and prefer vegan options, I asked about it and she brought a completely vegetarian menu ! Very impressed.
On the menu, they mention the farm from which the ingredients are sourced from which I think is so neat.

We ordered cappuccino with oat milk, espresso,, Bucatini, Beets and arugula salad, local artisan cheese and Toffee Fig dessert.

Everything was so good. The salad dressing was so delicious, I don’t what it was but has a tangy after taste to it which lingered on for a few hours after. The polenta croutons, OMG are amazingly delicious.

bucatini was quite unique. The tofu was nicely cooked and dipped in some sauce which was quite tasty. The greens and the rice udon noodles were smartly mixed to make it a wonderful dish altogether.
I don’t relish cheese, it makes me feel like throwing up so I don’t know but my friend loved the cheeses. The waitress explained in detail the source of each cheese and their preparation etc. Grapes, strawberries, roasted almonds were all good. The highlight was the jam made with digs.

Dessert was toffee with vanilla ice cream. The figs thing tasted like a brownie and ice cream was ice cream. Nothing out of the ordinary.

A very pleasant experience over all.

White Dog Café (Chester Springs) was a solid but not standout experience. The food tasted above average and the “local farm” ingredients did come through in the freshness and quality, but the portions were noticeably small for the price — overall, the value just isn’t there. The ambience has that classic rustic American diner feel, which is nice enough, but the heavy dog-themed décor felt more like a gimmick than something that actually enhanced the atmosphere.

It’s a decent meal if you’re in the area, but not something I’d go out of my way for. Overall: 6.5/10.

This is a really special restaurant. The food was SO tasty, and the staff was extremely accommodating for a gluten allergy. They even have a gluten free bread basket! Service was excellent as well. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

We had a great time in this beautiful restaurant. The restaurant quaint and pleasant. The bar looks amazing and we were blown away by the decor. Each space in the restaurant has a unique look. The food was amazing, get the bread basket! I had a great cup of tea, delivered the traditional English style. Next mushroom soup a great salad and crab cakes. This place is great!

Very enjoyable experience there – twice now. Its pricey but the service has been really good, the atmosphere is so cute (dog lovers will be happy) and the food is actually very good too, but not huge portions. No complaints, just pricey. But I guess going out anywhere anymore is expensive. Recommend and will be back!

Came here on the recommendation of a business associate. The atmosphere is decorated in the theme of dogs and antiques. Our server, Emily, was prompt, courteous and attentive. Being near the mushroom capital of the world, Kennett Square, I ordered the mushroom soup. It was velvety smooth with the rich full flavor of mushrooms. Meal selections included salmon, flounder picatta and BBQ ribs. The food was great. However, the air conditioning was on full blast. One guest ordered hot tea during the meal “to warm up”. It put a damper on a delicious meal. That is why I gave the atmosphere only 4 stars. When this was brought to the attention of the staff, we were told they “can’t do anything about it”.

This place is so cute! We came for Sunday lunch around 12:30. Our waitress was so sweet and the atmosphere inside is so cute with all the dogs. For the table we shared the donuts and deviled eggs, both were delicious! For our meals we had the shrimp and grits, fried chicken sandwich, Lancaster omelette and scrapple, and the special of the day breakfast nachos chilaquiles. We all enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back to try more! We enjoyed this location more than the Wayne location.

Really great atmosphere! Perfectly done! Drinks= excellent! Service could not be better! The food is horrible…. Tuna melt was cold and tasted like vinegar- the soup was good but cold. The omelet was as best fair. How awesome would this White Dog be if the food was fabulous?
