I’m a long time diner here and I always try to very my meals.
Today I had a calling from the salmon menu.
The picture below shows a grilled salmon, and fried rice. My addition is sriracha sauce. I like spicy or more spicy.
Sriracha is best when you buy the original Huy Fong Foods product version. The others taste different.

I hate leaving a low review for this establishment because the owner was so nice and very attentive to anything we needed. The shrimp fried rice was good and so were the salads. The sushi on the other hand was prepared by someone who isn’t a trained sushi chef. The rolls were very messy and loose and the fish was cut too thickly.

Huuuuugggeeee rolls!
What a wonderful find! This tiny sushi joint cranks out some of the finest rolls I’ve ever tasted! The Spider Roll and Eel rolls were amazing.
The place was clean. It smelled good. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious. Parking was easy. The prices are fair. The portions are fantastic; basically double sized rolls.
There’s not a lot of seating, so plan accordingly. Definitely worth a stop though!

The owner is incredibly kind and genuinely caring. She always remembers my order when I come in, which really makes you feel valued and welcome. The food is consistently amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. White Buddha is one of those places that feels special every time you visit. Highly recommend!

My mom brought me here for the first time today & I am super glad she did! This place is amazing! The owner is a sweetheart. Super friendly & loves to converse with her customers. 🙂 The food is sooooo delicious. Huge portions & prices are very reasonable. Especially in todays economy! We got the lunch specials—Teriyaki Chicken Hibachi and Beef Bulgogi. Both of which came with a side of salad. We also ordered an appetizer of Calamari.. and of course we ordered sushi. I think it was called the Texas Roll. The sauces & dressing are probably the best I’ve had. I can’t wait to come back!❤️

MY FAVORITE SUSHI STOP!!! This place is delicious and fresh, and the staff (Barbie) is extremely friendly. The food is always 10/10. I’ve been here multiple times and have not been disappointed once. My favorite roll is either the Lily roll or the Thai roll, both are so delicious. The crunch munch roll is another one of my favorites (I don’t like raw fish) the shrimp on the top is so tender and the flavors are mouthwatering! Last night I ordered 2 and ate them both to myself, I came back for another one today and ordered veggie fried rice – it was SO good. I wish I could taste everything on the menu, maybe one day. YUM

Sorry my pic has the salad gone and a few bites missing… Because to be honest… A small hibachi place like this… I was just hoping for “better than McDonald’s for lunch”. Well they caught me off guard… The brought the salad which was a creamy ginger salad dressing and it was good… Which I was like “oh… Wasn’t expecting that”.
They brought the food like 5 mins later and asked if I needed anything else and I was like “ginger sauce for the steak?” And they brought out the ginger sauce for the steak and what most hibachi places call “yum yum sauce” and said “in case you want it for your rice”. I usually eat my rice the way it comes because I figure it’s added calories and I’m already splurging…. But I do know what time yum sauce should taste like…
So the steak I got medium and it was perfect… The ginger sauce was spot on… The rice was good… The yum yum sauce was also good but like I said I usually don’t do that on my rice I use it for chicken but I didn’t get chicken ;-p. I also enjoyed the vegetables (except the mushrooms but I kinda figured they would be there and I just always eat around them… I’m not big into special ordering stuff if I don’t have to)
This was $14… Unfortunately I’m at a satellite office just for 2 days and this is my last day.. but if this was near my home office I’d be here at least once a week at this price… And I will probably be here EVERY TIME I come to the Louisville office.
I gave it 5 stars on atmosphere… I want to pause here… My lunch was $14… Completely met expectations … But this isn’t like first date level atmosphere… That being said… Most hibachi you share a table with strangers and have someone performing…you can’t easily have meaningful conversation… I’m in a booth here by myself… I could have a conversation about anything I want AND enjoy hibachi… So maybe it is first date material if they really like hibachi…
White Buddha if you are going to open more locations… Downtown Cincinnati or Taylor Mill KY will get you at least 1 repeat customer LOL
