Event venue for Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Birthday, Sweet 16, Graduation Tea, Business Event, Family Gathering, Club/Social Event We are a lakeside southern tea room serving hospitality and delicious luncheons to gatherings of friends and family. We also feature more than 20 loose leaf teas from around the world. Wednesday through Sunday, we can seat 25 inside with more seating on our covered lakeside veranda. Reservations required. Text 813 965-2100 to reserve a table or private event. Response/confirmation May take 24 to 48 hours, so please plan in advance.

I had a 3:00 PM reservation and was really looking forward to this visit, as it was a smaller version of my bridal shower. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to a lack of organization and guest attention.
When we arrived, there was no one there to greet us or direct us where to go. The main tea room had a baby shower happening, and a guest from that event (not an employee) wouldn’t allow us to enter to speak with anyone, she simply told us there were tables around back. Because of this, we were never formally checked in and had no guidance from staff, so we walked to the back and seated ourselves.
Several tables were not cleaned, and we sat for about 20 minutes with no service before someone in my party had to get up and find an employee. Only then did someone come over to explain the tea options. We were never asked if we wanted water, cream, or sugar with our tea.
The staff themselves were okay,!one server did improve and checked on us more frequently, but overall it was very clear that the baby shower was prioritized over other guests, despite us having a reservation.
That said, the food and tea were excellent, and the outdoor patio was adorable. The beautiful weather definitely helped make the experience more enjoyable. However, the lack of organization and feeling overlooked made it hard to fully enjoy what should have been a special occasion.
With better coordination, clear check-in procedures, and equal attention to all reservations, this could be a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, during our visit, we felt ignored and not treated as a priority.

From the moment we stepped out of our car, you could feel how special this place is! I can’t possibly describe all the beautiful nooks & crannies tucked into this place, seriously! It’s like a mini shopping village of adorable, cozy, thoughtful shops in a meandering, enchanted garden. The Whistle Stop sits on the shore of the water lilly pond that looks like Monet painted it.
The tea room is adorable, music perfect, food exceptionally delicious & thoughtful!
We had a mixed salad with a balsamic reduction, chicken salad croissant and a scone (hot out of the oven!) with clotted cream for dessert.
Valentine chocolate tea and a lemony tea both scrumptious!
Everything was SO good!
We can’t wait to go back and we won’t wait, believe me! ❤️☕️❤️

From the road you don’t know what to expect, but the entire property is full of charming handmade items (at reasonable prices) and absolutely adorable decor.
There are a number of rooms chock full of the cutest shopping I’ve ever done and when you get to the back the team room sits by itself next to a gorgeous lily pad filled pond.
There’s a general store and garden shed where you can buy live plants, old fashioned items, and even more charming nicknacks.
We had the light tea and it was delicious and such a fun experience! Sarah was the sweetest and makes the BEST butterscotch scones on planet earth.
Text to make a reservation because they get busy, but well worth it.
I’ve told everyone I know that this place is not to be missed! I am so happy we went and will definitely be back!

I ordered an Afternoon Tea to go for my special Bridgerton season 4 screening. I was very satisfied with the variety of finger sandwiches and desserts I received. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Sara, the tea room manager, was so sweet. She paid attention to detail when creating and packaging my order. She was very friendly and even threw in an extra macaron- “Yum”.

Spent a wonderful Fall day browsing around the Lutz Whistlestop Shoppes and Tea room. Made friends with Maramalade the cat , she approved my choice of tea , scones , and croissant .
Loved every detail , so quaint and filled with treasures to enjoy! Great stop on a fun trip down from Tn to Tampa, love finding unique places to explore, the only thing missing was Fried Green Tomatoes

I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower at Whistle Stop on Sunday and everything was absolutely perfect! They were so accommodating and helpful and even offered multiple times to help me set up extra things that I brought along. I can’t have nuts and seeds and they made me a salad to accommodate those restrictions. The staff were discreet when coming in and serving our guests. Every guest commented on how nice it was and how cute the tea room was decorated. This is the second bridal shower we’ve had at this venue and I wouldn’t hesitate to do another one.

We threw a Bridal shower at Whistle Stop Gardens Tea room this morning (03.02.25) and I for one will never get over how amazing their iced peach tea was, it was SO good, but the service? Perfection. Karen, Rylie, Ari, and Nina were just so so so amazing, especially Karen! Who dove right in to making sure there were NO missed photo opportunities for us. It was just the most beautiful shower hosted at the cutest little tea shop, it’s like when you walk back there you’ve entered a whole other world, a secret garden. And while the tea was amazing it was the women who worked there that wowed me the most.

I had SUCH a pleasant bachelorette/birthday party at this cute little tea room! The reservation lady made sure we had the entire veranda for ourselves even though she could have had more reservations so that we could use the space freely! The food was delicious and so was the tea! There were plenty of photo spots to get some super cute photos and they allowed us to bring mimosas and our own cake since it was also a birthday party. I will absolutely be coming here again in the future! The price was soooooo doable and it was all just so worth it!!
