Great ice cream set in a mock train station. The ice cream is rich and flavorful with especially great coffee flavors, chocolate and the base vanilla. Prices are very reasonable for the Cape and their sizes are generous. Service was fast and friendly and it has the true feeling of an old local shop. Definitely the place to stop in for ice cream in the area.

Visited the Monument Beach shop yesterday afternoon, my family and I were so excited to see dairy free ice cream options! Sorbets and vegan flavors were awesome so yummy! Very friendly atmosphere and customer service Will be visiting again!

THIS is the homemade ice cream I’d been searching for all week!! Most of the places we’d been going to all week just resell pre-made Hershey’s or other brands you can just get at the store, but you can taste the delicious difference between Whistle’s and the others’. The service was also excellent, and the prices were very clear, unlike at other spots. Between the two of us, these were our thoughts on the 4 flavors we tried…
Vanilla: 8/10 (vanilla flavor could have been stronger)
Coffee Heath Bar: 8.5/10 (says it’s super strong coffee flavor, but even kid’s would like this; it’s like the sweetest latte with bits of toffee)
Chocolate PB: 9/10
Almond Joy: 7/10 (not as coconutty as I’d want; the coconut flavor was super faint)
We’ll be back next time we’re on The Cape!!

We have been going to the Whistle Stop regularly for over a year now and we love it! The owner and staff are very friendly and the service is quick. Prices are comparable to other ice cream places on the cape, and you get great portions. Ice cream is delicious and my husband raves about the waffle cones year round (says they’re the best he’s ever had). They also have a fridge full of yummy looking ice cream cakes and treats for sale. We do wish that the hours were open a little later during the off season as we sometimes aren’t able to make it in time after dinner, but absolutely recommend the Whistle Stop.

very fast service except the only problem is.. i went in tonight & they were all just standing there like 6 of them in a group & all on their phones while serving people. i never write reviews like this but i work in the food industry & i don’t find it proper. especially when your on ur phone WHILE serving people. and there was a guy not in uniform just staring at me and my friend very awkwardly.. this was the pocasset location.

First off, the ice cream is amazing. I got the pumpkin Oreo and was blown away by the flavor and creaminess of the ice cream. The lady working the counter was very nice…
HOWEVER! I kindly requested to use the WiFi since my cell service was not allowing my picture of the menu to go through to my family group chat. I literally wanted to buy more ice cream. But, the lady working the counter explained that they don’t allow use of the WiFi. It was the business’ loss since I wasn’t able to order ice cream for my family.
Definitely will go back just for how good the ice cream was, but I thought it was strange to now allow use of the WiFi for paying customers…

The ice cream was great! It was thick, creamy and they gave you a good size amount. However, (I apologize for a lack of better words) the big older looking woman with darker pink hair was impatient and was giving me a foul attitude. Once she finished rushing my father through his order, and I began with mine she cut me off before I could finish my sentence with “what size?” + attitude. I politely told her I would’ve told her my size if she’d let me finish getting the words “two scoops” out after waffle cone. The same pink haired, big woman then proceeded to make four other people’s order behind mine and then she gave me a hot cone which melted my ice cream and turned the cone into mush (fyi, I watched this other girl make a waffle cone and let it cool.. the big woman purposely chose to do that). I couldn’t finish it because it was so gross. It’s not packed like a god damn Starbucks at 7am, you can chill out. You work at an ice cream parlor so it’s cold enough to chill out right? ..Sorry I’m a little pissy because I’m taking forever to write this damn review with sticky fingers.
