This is a small diner near the train tracks in Boone, Ia. The breakfast we had was amazing! It’s not very big inside, but there is plenty of seating. The service was outstanding! We were eating there for the first time, and everyone made us feel like regulars. The portions were very generous, and the price was right on point! There were four of us, and we ate for around $10.00 per person! This is a great family-friendly little diner! We will definitely eat there again!

This is a tiny little cafe with a railroad theme, in a railroad town. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food at breakfast was excellent.. We loved how all the coffee cups were like ones you would find in a home kitchen. I got a big smile out of one across the counter from us that said “I love my Grandma” My son was thrilled with the giant pancake that filled the whole plate (and his whole belly). There were 8 of us who all left happy and full.

Was an outstanding experience. The server greeted everyone who came in and joked friendly with regular guests. She was a joy to see. We appreciate the service she gave us, unfortunately we didn’t catch her name.

Wow! Did you know they have weekly specials here? Today I had a Double Cheeseburger all the fixings and fries and a coke for $11.99!

Great little spot. We are traveling through Iowa and came across this mom and pop place in Boone . The food was pretty damn good for diner food. The server was top notch.

Just wrapped up lunch and had to write this. Came in off the street, I’m an outside sales rep on a Friday at 12:30pm for some lunch. I came in seated myself and was asked what to drink immediately, which is great. I ordered a coke, then asked what was the lunch special for today and was told baked cod with red potatoes. I ordered it and that was that. Immediately an employee started to go on about how customers have been rude all day. The same employee brought out a plate of what appeared to be left over food and put in front of a customer sitting next to me. She then clearly stated, is this your plate, to the customer next me. The customer stated no, the employee stated, good this is not very good. Then proceeded to give it to me and say here’s your plate. I looked at her and she just walked off complaining about rude customers. I went to take a picture of this plate but every one of the employees were staring at me so I chose not too. They all looked angry, I got up paid for the food and left. I drove around the corner and wrote this review. I couldn’t believe I was just treated this way. I didn’t want any problems, I was on a lunch break and had to get back to work.

Stopped here for the first time in a long time. It has the quaint simple atmosphere I like about small dinners. It was a tight fit for me and 3 others but we made it work. The waitress was quick to get our orders and refills. The price was reasonable and the staff thanked us for coming. Plus they had liver and onions.

Slightly limited on the skillet type breakfast options but still great food, ultra friendly help, and I’m sure everything was as good to eat as what I had and can be found anywhere else. If you need Tobasco, bring your own. They have TX Pete only or some weak LA sauce, I always carry so I was prepared. Great folks for sure though.

The place was closed on Boone days. Was 7 ways from pissed. No breakfast this morning. At least the show hall had Carmal Pecan rolls to help with morning hunger. Boone is Resteraunt poor. Lots of fast food places, though.
