Drinks and atmosphere were delicious, server left us waiting for the check for 45 minutes and at one point was in the middle of helping us and then started talking to a friend and never came back. Sliders were cold and dry. Deviled eggs were great and the view was great. Will come back for the view and drinks, don’t bother ordering food and just go next door to the restaurant and get food.

We came here to have drinks before dinner. We were seated almost immediately after arriving. Service could be improved just a bit… Initially our server took FOREVER to take our order but she also took as long to come back to see if we wanted more drinks. We did not order a second round because it took forever to receive the first round of drinks. However, the drinks were great!

We love CDA Resort, and the views just can’t be beat. We enjoy lunch on the patio and generally have a great time. Yesterday, however, proved to be disappointing. Our server was Sage, a delightful young person who initially was friendly and communicative. However, after an initial greeting, it took several minutes to get drinks. We ordered an appetizer. It took 40-45 minutes for it to arrive. We were not in a hurry, but we were hungry. We decided we should order dinner as soon as the appetizer arrived. We did not have any napkins, plates, or silverware. We waited for all that. The truffle fries were cold upon arrival and continued to cool while we waited for utensils. The condiments we ordered with the fries never arrived after requesting them more than once. When we commented on our disappointment with the appetizer, our server proceeded to convey to others her frustration with us. I guess she was not aware that she was still im in sight when making her facial expression as she walked away from our table. To her credit, she offered to remove the fries from the check. Next, we waited for our meal to arrive. With the burger came fries, and I asked for ketchup. No ketchup when the order arrived. I asked again for ketchup. I waited. Someone else came by, so I asked him for ketchup. Tick-tock, tick-tock. No ketchup. I am finished eating, and my ketchup arrives. We said we were ready for the check. After waiting a bit, another employee brings the check. We asked our dinner host to review the bill and make sure the fries had been removed. The person delivering the check reviewed the check, very curtly let us know it had been removed, and walked away to process the payment. We noticed throughout our meal that others around us had to ask for things more than once. We heard diners asking for napkins and silverware, etc. We also noticed that all the servers and support staff were chatting and visiting with a single diner. They all stopped at his table, chatted with him, and engaged with him continually. Maybe he was a coworker on break or something; he was quite a distraction. We waited a very long time for mediocre food, service that ranged from good to bad, and then a 30-minute wait for the car in valet. We think we will try another option in CDA next time. If you go to Whispers, you may find long waits, average food options, and sub-par service. Is it more difficult to serve guests in the outdoor area? If so, Whispers may want to consider ways to ensure food can be served while still hot and that servers have all the resources they need to be efficient and accommodating.

Food was fresh and delicious. The pork wings were my favorite. The sauce was amazing. Server was kind.

Want to wait 45 minutes to find your server drinking at the bar? I have a place for you! It’s called Whispers Lounge, where they don’t serve booze, they just let you wait. This place would be amazing if it wasn’t for the pesky customers.

The way things seem to be everywhere these days:Short staffed. Slow service. Same in the summer and winter. Not complaining at all, it was just our experience and we were not in a hurry so it was all fine. the waitress was very nice to us. We loved the ambiance and the food was good. Be aware that when you dine in the Igloo that gratuity is included so that you don’t over tip. My group of friends are always generous but it would not be fair to “double tip”… All in all it was a lovely evening and we will go back.

Terrible service. Drink is not good. You barely taste it. Only sugar and ice. Not recommended at all. I throw the ice and that what left. Too much ice. The view just okay, covered with parked boat so you can’t see the lake.
