Stopped in right after lunch hour for a quick bite to eat in between showing homes. I ordered the steak and cheese with fries. It was delicious! Service was quick. You can have a drink and watch the games on the big screen if you like, or you can go eat outside on their covered deck(weather permitting). Very laid back atmosphere. The menu has a good variety for everyone. I will definitely be going back!

I was going to leave a mediocre review because the service was super inattentive (not busy at all), but once I received the wings, you could leave me alone in a locked closet and I’d be euphoric. Those wings….perfectly cooked, hot, crispy, and the Whiskey Wet sauce was untouchable. Best wings I’ve ever had. I ordered 12 thinking I’d be taking half home for lunch; nope. Even as my stomach expanded past capacity, I could not stop eating those delicious, tender, saucy morsels. I didn’t even touch the ranch because the wings and sauce were perfect themselves and needed absolutely nothing extra. This was the first time in a very long time that I would describe my experience with a food as purely joyful. Get the wings. But bring your own water refills.

The grilled shrimp (not blackened) was burnt hush puppies were doughy. Could not substitute okra for the fries without being charged an extra $6. My husband had a bologna sandwich with ketchup mustard and chili came out loaded with onions sent it back came back out loaded with mustard and it was burnt. He went ahead and ate it. The price that we paid for the dinner was not worth it. The serves sucked as well. Oh they did not have Coke Zero or no diet sundrop. The owner has not changed or added anything new to the menu since he first opened it up. Since he opened the one in Gastonia the one in Bessemer city has gone down hill. The kitchen staff needs to be trained on how to cook. The prices that you have to pay for the food is not worth eating there. I would not recommended it to any new comers in the area.

I ordered the double shot burger with a side of potato wedges, and honestly, it was one of the most underwhelming meals I’ve had in a while. The burger itself was extremely dry, completely overcooked, and had virtually no flavor – it tasted exactly like one of those generic frozen Angus patties you grab from Sam’s Club. To make matters worse, the bun was paper-thin and fell apart almost immediately, turning the whole thing into a messy disaster.
The potato wedges were at least hot and fresh-tasting, but the portion was laughably small for $6. Definitely not worth the price.
Service was mediocre – nothing terrible, but noticeably slow for what wasn’t even a busy time.
Total bill came to $20 for the burger, tiny side of wedges, and a water. Absolutely not worth it.
This burger ranks as the second-worst I’ve ever had, and I won’t be returning. I can’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent burger. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Never have I so badly wanted to give someplace 4.5 stars. The food was excellent and extremely affordable and the service is attentive and fast. However the restaurant is in disrepair. Some of the booths are literally falling apart. The whole place needs some TLC but it’s clear the owners prioritize affordable food over renovation- and I can’t fault that.

I stop by Whiskey Mill in Bessemer City often, and it’s always a great experience. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous, and the staff is friendly every time I’m in. It’s one of those places where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and count on the same great quality visit after visit. Food was pretty good. Venue is pretty cool. Meal was more than it was worth and ended up being over $20 for cheeseburger side drink and tip. Just seemed a little excessive for a lunch in Bessemer City.

We felt the awesome vibes as soon as we walked into this local dive! We sat at the bar but there are plenty of booths and patio seating to go with the southern charm! A full menu of American fare with a wide selection of beer and cocktails. Highly recommend!
