So good! I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but that doesn’t matter with the food at Whimsical Folly. The Rediculous Roo (Rueben) is super flavorful, the salads are tasty, and The Bomb (Bruschetta) with the “cheese” is heaven! Can’t wait to go back to try more! Three bistro tables are right out front or there are other covered seating areas to enjoy your grub.

The food is tasty and well- portioned. If you’re celiac, the owner will let you know about the possibilities of cross-contamination for the GF food. For our friend who was super sensitive, it really helped that the owner didn’t exaggerate.

There are lots of amazing vegan places in Portland but a few are truly incredible restaurants, regardless of their specialty status. This is one of them. The owner is a real gem, creating an experience…not just a meal. The food is real, flavorful and excellent. She’s creating original, complex, and wholesome foods that can stand alone-not rehashing the all-too-common beginner vegan recipes from the internet. Go here. You’ll love the food…and her restaurant… She loves what she does and it shows in every single delicious bite.

I ordered a reuban sandwich and a coffee cake recently from here and was blown away. I also like the side salads come as salad rolls which is great convenience. Every pastry I got has been exceptional. This place is gem. Go support this!

I can’t believe I don’t go here more often. You should. The chef – who is the loveliest person – creates the high quality, creative dishes which just happen to be vegan! This is the best not so secret vegan place in the PNW.
