Convenient. I got a cappuccino, I enjoyed it, although I would have liked it a little stronger. Maybe 2 shots would have done it.
The Danish was yum.

Drive thru coffee only. The signature frozen mocha is delicious and blended with cold brew coffee.

Incredibly kind staff. Delicious drinks. Tasty bites. The breakfast sandwich is delicious!! The atmosphere is super welcoming and homey. The steamers are so good! The black coffee is perfectly prepared. Highly recommend this coffee shop if you are in the area.

I generally frequent all the coffee stands on the south end of the island a similar amount. I even spent the majority of my last year working at a coffee stand in Bayview so I know what it’s like. After this week, I will never return to this Whidbey Coffee. I have had many terrible experiences here. Last November I walked out of Payless with my four year old niece and went to the walk up side. The baristas were laughing and talking with the men in front of us and afterwards just shut the window. My niece and I stood there in the freezing cold for 15 minutes without so much as a we will be right with you. They served five cars and never opened the window again. Finally, a man behind us offered to order our drink so I could take my niece back to the car out of the cold. They opened the window up and helped him fairly quickly. Other times, in the car line I’ve waited well over 30 minutes for them as they talk to everyone. Being friendly is a part of the job but sometimes I’ve been at the window feeling awkward that someone is waiting behind me, I’ve paid, I have my drink, and they are still talking to me. The other day someone got out of their car while I was waiting for my drinks and asked why it was taking so long and they weren’t even talking. I’ve also had the majority of my orders messed up. All of those things are tolerable I suppose so I really only chose to go here if I was feeling lazy since it’s closest to my house. However, this week I went through the line and asked if the mocha was dairy free since my daughter is allergic and I’m breast feeding. SHE SAID YES IT WAS. It’s not. After my daughter had a reaction I drove to the Clinton location and asked them if it was dairy free and they said no and that it’s the same at the Freeland location. I don’t think every Whidbey Coffee location is this way. I like the locations in Clinton, Mukilteo, Oak Harbor, and Mount Vernon. But honestly I could never recommend this location unless management gets completely removed. I feel disrespected by their staff and I can get my coffee from kinder people other places on the island.

We randomly came across this little drive thru while looking for a coffee shop. It did not disappoint! The line was sort of long but we were not in a hurry. The girl came out and asked if she could take our order. Since we had never been there, we asked, if it was ok, could we keep reading the menu as we sat in line. She said of course! I ended up ordering the espresso milkshake & we were staying on the island for a few days so went back again!

The line was really long for this drive up booth, but now I know why. Usually I get a little backlash from my complicated drink order, but these hard workers Listened Without complaint and didn’t even try to offer alternatives. Didn’t push anything differently and didn’t make it in their own style or took shortcuts. Seriously, absolute A-team. 10/10.

Outstanding service and they make the best specialty coffees. The place is always humming but the wait time is negligible. A well run operation.

I always love stopping by to see these fine folks on my way to my own retail business, House of Cannabis, just up the road. Their coffee is good, consistent, and the food is pretty great, too.
