Great small town diner with delicious burgers and shakes. Malibu chicken was moist and flavorful. Others in our group really liked the pastrami burgers. The fries are battered and cooked perfect. Good atmosphere, nothing remarkable, but it’s nice and clean. Very friendly employees.

I always love a good small town burger joint. Wheeler’s was a low-key yet well-established restaurant on our road trip and they did not disappoint!
The menu has simple food choices with great pricing, especially for the service and food that you get. I got the bacon burger with cheese (no extra cost) and a small curly fry. The bacon was juicy, the bun was warm and golden, the burger overall assembled with care (though just a little dry, very bread-y) and the fries were hot and crispy—straight out of the oil—though I wish the small order came with more.
The large order of onion rings tempted me but the $7 price tag scared me away.
Dessert was a medium cherry dipped vanilla cone in a cup (the cashier presented this offer, and it was very helpful for the road) and it was sweet and tasty; well worth the $3–dipped added $1. The shakes looked very worthwhile too. I wanted a Wheeler’s t-shirt because I’m a sucker for merch and memorabilia, but unfortunately the cashier said they didn’t have any.
Overall great food and a great experience after a long day!

This is a fine place to eat. It’s exactly what you’d expect for a burger place. The burgers were pretty greasy but had good flavor. The shakes were the best part. I wasn’t disappointed at all, but I also wasn’t blown away. Super friendly staff.

This is a nice little burger place with pretty good service. Our larger group showed up on a Thursday at 7:30 and they were able to get our food out fairly quickly. We did have to remind them about the drinks with each order. They don’t do combos and their shakes only come in one size (it’s probably about 16 oz). Their small onion rings and fries are really small but tasty. All in all a good place that we’d stop at again.

These small town burger joints are the best. We stopped into Wheeler’s Drive-In today for lunch, and it was so good. They have the best battered fries and the burgers melt in your mouth. The service is great and the place is clean. One cool detail is that they clean up your tray after you’re done eating—real customer service still exists! How wild is that? If you’re in Mt. Pleasant, eat at Wheeler’s.

Nice spot for a quick stop on your way through town. Food was alright, and where we were expecting or hoping to get something a little more “diner” style for our money, it was obviously something simply reheated and slapped together. Sad also that they provide very small dipping sauces, and then charge additional money for the same small cups; felt ripped off. We order a large fry, which would be roughly the size of a medium or small that you get from McDonalds served on a plate and about the same quality.
Would have given less stars, but they did have a very good shake, and that was a redeeming product.
Staff is all very young with what appeared to be no adult on site, and were busy gossiping and discussing things outside of work while behind the counter, which was distracting a rude.

It is an older building, but not in bad shape or trashy! It is actually very clean and just part of the atmosphere. It is really cool to see an older building like this that has good upkeep. Kind of a fun throwback to be in here! The staff was very nice and greets you with a smile and a hello when you walk in. They are younger and seem to be a bit timid and shy, but certainly not rude or short! The food was absolutely amazing. I got the grilled turkey and cheese and I don’t know what is up with this town, but they have some amazing hot turkey sandwich’s, it really is so good. I’ve come back for multiple while we have been in town. Thank you Wheelers!

The meat seems to be better lately, before it tasted just terrible, but now their burgers are decent. The price for things is absurd, but that’s what I get for living in this crap hole of a city.

The no pets/service dogs only sign was quite visble as I walked in, but still was told to take myself and my dog outside and continued to get an attitude from the employee even after being told my dog is a service animal.
It would, legally, be wise to train your employees that not all disabilities are visible and it is not a requirement, by law, to not have your service dog in a service vest. I personally don’t like to advertise I’m disabled, so my dog never wears his service vest.
I didn’t order and will not recommend this establishment to anyone after being treated the way I was.
