These small town burger joints are the best. We stopped into Wheeler’s Drive-In today for lunch, and it was so good. They have the best battered fries and the burgers melt in your mouth. The service is great and the place is clean. One cool detail is that they clean up your tray after you’re done eating—real customer service still exists! How wild is that? If you’re in Mt. Pleasant, eat at Wheeler’s.

Usually when a business changes ownership it doesn’t do so well, but I am SO impressed with the improvements in the food at Wheelers! The food is delicious, fresh, and at a reasonable price! I’ve also noticed the portions are normal portions again and aren’t smaller in size like they were before. I’ve gone back 3 different times and on different days just to make sure the food was consistent and was so happy when it was! I’ve ordered their chicken baskets and have found those to be best bang for your buck!

Milkshake is thick – can’t drink from straw. Could barely taste the chocolate. Asked for no bun hamburger, but they gave the bun anyway and none of the other items. Patties are thin and tasteless. Won’t come back.

They have okay food. It is a bit much for the price. Burgers are decent. Buns are good on the beef burgers. I’m not a fan of the chicken Burger. The bun just doesn’t work on that item. The strips have been overcooked the last few times I have ordered them. There are not many other options in town.

It’s a great place the food is amazing, but I wouldn’t recommend it while busy your food is less likely to be the right order. So come while less people are there, the atmosphere not everyone’s cup of tea and no they don’t serve tea, if your into fancy don’t come to them and expect them to prepare your food in fro front of you. Nice spot for a quick stop on your way through town. Food was alright, and where we were expecting or hoping to get something a little more “diner” style for our money, it was obviously something simply reheated and slapped together. Sad also that they provide very small dipping sauces, and then charge additional money for the same small cups; felt ripped off. We order a large fry, which would be roughly the size of a medium or small that you get from McDonalds served on a plate and about the same quality.
