What’s Cookin! My absolute favorite spot for a bacon egg and cheese on the shoreline. The cheese is melted, crispy bacon, soft bread. I can’t get enough of these sandwiches. I order 2-3 each time I go. Magnificent. As a bacon egg and cheese connoisseur- 5 stars. Also – Gale is amazing! So kind and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this establishment!

I had been shopping around for a catering company and felt that What’s Cookin’ had the widest selection and dishes that could appeal to everyone. Gayle was incredibly helpful in guiding me on how much food to order and made several recommendations that we all ended up really enjoying.
Our party was on July 4th, so I picked everything up on July 3rd. Gayle told me not to hesitate to call if I had any questions, and when I did call on the 4th, she picked right up and helped me out. That kind of service really meant a lot.
Delicious food and great service all around. I would definitely use them again!

Don’t post often
I reached out to Gayle for a baby shower I was hosting. Gayle also had helped me last summer with a picnic, so I knew I was in good hands. Right from the start, Gayle guided me through the process. I’m not much of a foodie and I rarely entertain, so her expertise was needed. She assured me that we had come up with a good menu, and she absolutely was right! Everyone loved the food, from the quiches to the salad, to the pound cake and everything in between. Gayle set up the buffet beautifully, with everything labeled with name tags that kept with the theme of the shower. Gayle is a professional, who is great to work with and creates a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. I look forward to my next opportunity to work with her again.

My partner and I stopped for breakfast on our way home from a weekend outing. I loved the decor, and we both loved the food. I had French Toast, snd he got the Heart Attack (sandwich). Will definitely stop by again next time we pass through.

What a great find!! Coming home from the casino and craving some good breakfast sandwich, we found this spot by both google and Yelp reviews. Adorable inside, the friendliest staff and the bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on a hard roll was AWESOME. The iced coffee was delicious, and came with coffee ice cubes!! We will definitely be back and I highly recomend!

The place was easy to find, presentable and clean inside. As a first time customer my first impressions were mainly positive. Staff was friendly and prompt, and prices were ok for the portions.
On the not so positive side you pay an extra fee or percentage increase if using your credit/debit card to pay as this is mainly a ‘cash preferred’ type of place. The menu prices are cash only, the card transaction pays more, but nobody said anything I just happened to read it. The menu choices I found online were very different from the actual location, and such main ordering menu is away from where you order (maybe to prevent new comers from blocking the checkout area?) For me, in this day and age, it’s not the way to keep my business. The food was ok, left me expecting a little more moist, fluff, and seasoning out of my scrambled eggs, rye (over) toast and home fries.

Almond crusted paleo chicken, and buffalo chicken chili were delicious. Paleo choc chip banana bread was moist and really well balanced. Normally when I have an end piece, it’s dry enough to be a fire hazard, but somehow this wasn’t the case here. Not the quickest service in the world as they only have 2 people working the grill, near as I could tell, but definitely worth the wait. Coconut almond truffle was great, too. Picked up a veggie quiche with sweet potato crust (frozen) to take home, too.

I was in a pickle for 4th of July week—two days before the holiday we realized we’d have 40 people to feed! I frantically called around to every catering business in driving distance to CT, and everyone basically laughed at me. Except Gail from What’s Cooking! She said she could hear the panic in my voice and graciously offered to prepare food for the party, AND go in the morning of the holiday so I could pick the trays up still warm! I mean, talk about customer service!!! She was an absolute delight to work with, I am SO grateful! The food was such a hit, specifically the Mac-n-cheese and lemon bars! I’m such a fan girl to this spot now, and a loyal customer for always. Thank you, Gail!!!
