We came here for dinner in a Friday night in November. It was early evening and we made a reservation for 4.

We were greeted immediately upon entering. We were waiting for two other in our group so we had a drink at the bar while we waited. Once the arrived we were seated.

We ordered wine for the table, a couple appetizers and our meals. The food was incredible my good. The service team were all professional and cordial.

The atmosphere was upscale and sophisticated. The prices are a bit higher here but that is what we expected.

The food and staff were top notch. We had a lovely dinner.

One of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever visited from the exceptional service to the incredible food and drinks this is a must when visiting St. Barths. The prosciutto was incredible, cut very thin paired with the fresh cherry tomatoes and the Burrata was a great way to begin the culinary journey. The gnocchi and ravioli were crafted to perfection accompanied by a very balanced pommaddoro sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection accompanied by one of the most flavorful artichoke sides I’ve eaten. The addition on mint to the artichokes is very memorable. Lastly do not skip on the desserts especially the semi fredo as it was sweet, salty, crunchy, and sour exactly what is wanted after a beautiful meal. Highly recommend!

We had such a great dinner here last year that we made sure it was on our itinerary to come when we were in town for my friend’s birthday.
The service was attentive and I loved the dark sexy ambiance of the dining room. Our group ordered several appetizers to share including the eggplant Parmesan, mozzarella & prosciutto, prosciutto with melon and the mixed salad. We also shared cacio e Pepe and the penne all’arrabbiata. For my main I ordered the fettuccine bolognese and we shared several dishes of the tiramisu for dessert. Stand out dishes were the cacio e Pepe, eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti carbonara and the tiramisu. Truly, I didn’t have a bite of anything that I didn’t love. Only miss of the evening was that one of my friends ordered a risotto that was inedibly undercooked.

Overall, I really love this traditional Italian restaurant and would highly recommend it to friends coming to the island.

This was the absolute worst service I have received at a restaurant in my life.

The waiter didn’t ask if we wanted another drink, didn’t ask how the food was, didn’t even offer more water. We waited 15 minutes to get the check.

The “lobster pasta” was a plate of pasta that tasted like it came from a box with 2 small bites of lobster in it for $90 USD. The Veal plate was essentially an appetizer and was average at best.

I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because there’s no way any place could be this bad without trying to be, so the extra star is for their dedication towards awful service and overpriced bland food.

This was hands down one of my favorite meals that we had while on the island (and we ate a lot of good food). All of the food was delicious! Super traditional, simple, but perfectly done Italian food. The dining room is traditional and charming and the service is top notch.

Beef carpaccio, grilled octopus, lobster pasta, shrimp pasta, grilled sea bass, truffle mashed potatoes, and a perfectly cooked filet. *drool*

I’m making myself hungry posting about this. If you want a nice dinner in St. Barths, this is definitely one of the places you should stop. Make sure to make a reservation.

L’Iosla is a solid Italian restaurant. The restaurant was quite noisy and hard to have a conversation during dinner. The service was good but not great. They offer good pasta dishes, but there was nothing particularly special about it. I prefer Mamo over this restaurant.

Best Italian on the island! Great service and very good quality food. Amazing fresh pasta, warm baguette, and more. Some dishes, like the burrata, are a bit too expensive for what they are. But it is all fantastic!

Our dinning here was awesome. High quality service in a beautiful space. Everyone was speaking Italian. Really great cocktails. We actually returned one night for drinks. They can accommodate all group sizes. Excellent wine menu. The Tuscan soup was so good and so was the Milanese veal chop.

You don’t expect to find legit Italian on a tiny island in the Caribbean, but alas, this is it. This dark, intimate space is a serene sanctuary that turns out fantastic Italian classics, stunning pastas and offers a killer wine list. Servers are engaging and fun, offering great insight into the menu and tending to your every need. It doesn’t come cheap, but not much in St Barths does. Highly recommended for a date night or quiet dinner with friends.

A couple of things to know before I get to the food review. First, both Google and Apple Maps take you to the wrong location for this restaurant. This can be a disaster if you don’t know where you are going, especially on a weekend night when Gustavia is packed with cars and when you realize you aren’t where you thought you would be and you wander aimlessly, lost in the infernal hell of St. Barth’s maze of a roadway system. The thing is, where you do end up using these directions is not far from the restaurant. When you get to where the apps take you, you are on the right street – just a few blocks away. Park and get out and ask a helpful native to point you in the right direction and just walk there. Second, we were told there was a valet service, but we never saw one. So, this means to get to Gustavia early to try to find that most precious of Gustavia prizes, a parking spot. On to the food. If you are well versed in Italian food you will find the food here average and overpriced. Now everything in St. Barth’s is overpriced, but this is overpriced even by St. Barth standards. To be clear, there is nothing wrong with the food, it’s fine. It’s just average for good Italian cooking. Here’s what my wife and I had: HOMEMADE VEAL RAVIOLI IN A VEAL BROTH (the veal broth was very good, but the ravioli was nothing special), RAW BABY ARTICHOKES SALAD , PARMIGIANO REGGIANO IN A LEMON DRESSING (really ordinary and for 44 Euros so unbelievably not worth the price it’s astounding), SALTIMBOCCA ALLA ROMANA and FETTUCCINE BOLOGNESE (both good but again nothing better than what you can find at many good Italian restaurants) and MEDITERRANEAN LINE CAUGHT SEA BASS CARPACCIO IN A LEMON DRESSING (this was the one truly outstanding item we had. Extraordinarily good and worth every penny). So, to temper my comments I note that the restaurant was packed, the maître d knew many of the guests by name and it seemed that people were having a very good time. The service we had (sitting at the bar because we were so late) was excellent. There was a humming vibe to the place that we enjoyed. It’s just that we expected more from the food.
