Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Theresa is the only person who actually cares in this place (and the reason for a 3 star vs a 1 star rating). It’s actually impressive that she is able to maintain her professionalism in that environment. So good on her. Other employees do not GAF and act like it’s a bother to even serve you. Decent burgers though.

My daughter and I came in after a long day and I had forgotten my wallet. Teresa the manager went way above and beyond she brought us 2 whataburgers, fries, and a drink. Everyone in the store was very kind. I would highly recommend you stop here for any meal.

My family love Whataburger chain and we were so excited that this new location just opened near our home so we decided to try it out one weekend morning. We came excited and left disappointed. These were what went wrong in our visit in the DriveThru:
1. The window cashier took our order correctly and told us an amount, but when we pulled up to the window we were given a different amount ($5 more than the amount we heard just a min or two prior). Soon we discovered that’s from the single unsalted patty for my fur baby, we were charged $6 something for a single beef patty. We then talked to the manager and were left to wait over 20 mins to fix this confusion.
2. No ketchup, napkins, or silverware were included in our bag and we were never asked if we want them. Another trip inside to ask for this bare minimum of an order.
3. I opened my Avocado Bacon Sandwich and realized there was barely any avocado in my sandwich and it was “strategically” placed near the edge to create the illusion of avocado in the sandwich (picture attached).

This was certainly a big disappointment to our weekend burger craze. Will not come back

Whoever was responsible for training the new people at this restaurant should be fired. I have been there four times now and every time my order has been incorrect.

The kid with the neck tattoos tonight needs to be retrained. Was too busy goofing off with his coworkers to remember to give me my drink. In his rush to pour it, he didn’t fill the cup.

Today they tried to give me the wrong drink. I returned it. Then they tried to give me somebody else’s food. I told them no, that’s not what I ordered. They finally gave me what I ordered only to be also incorrect with a bunch of toppings that I did not want. Figure it out guys. It’s a burger place. It should not be that difficult.

Tried this location 3 months ago and was terribly disappointed. After watching commercials all day for the Monterey melt decided to give it one more chance. Glad we did went through drive through and it was quick, employees were courteous, and the burgers were fresh and delicious. They obviously have put effort into correcting the issues they were having and is definitely worth visiting.

Ordered a double whataburger with jalapeños and I requested tons of onions. Never have I gone to a burger joint where they understand what a ton of onions mean. This place killed it on my burger. The service and quality and the cleanliness of this place was 5 stars all the way. GREAT JOB!

I haven’t had Whataburger in probably 15 years and I’m NOT impressed. The staff is great but this was NOT worth $19 in the least. A single patty with bacon, a medium fry, and a medium drink as well as a small strawberry shake is insane. The taste is just like everything else. The fries were gross. No flavor and mushy. The shake had BARELY any strawberry in it. It wasn’t even really vanilla. It had no flavor and I literally threw it away. $4.30ish in the trash. The strawberry swirl was like a light pepto bismol pink color and it didn’t even look appetizing. I could’ve gone to BK for half the price. Half. Hell Dairy Queen is a 1/3 of the price and exactly the same. I wish I could get my money back. I’m pissed. The stars were for the staff and that’s about it.

Food is great but I wouldnt recommend the drive thru unless you like sitting in your car. Took 15 mins for a kids meal with 2 cars in front of me. I’ll wait until the staff is more efficient and accustomed to the new building before returning.

Burgers tasted average, but buns were smashed flat and minimal toppings. Fries were not good. Unfriendly staff despite new location. No outdoor seating. Almost $50 for 4 people. Not a good value for the price considering In-n-Out is a few miles away.
