Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

If I Gave It 2 ☆ Is Because The Kids Belly Was Full And They Only Liked The Fries
I am writing to formally review an incident that occurred during my visit to a Whataburger location today- Casa Grande!
What should have been a routine lunch turned into an uncomfortable and disruptive experience due to employee conduct and assumptions made about me as a customer.
After sitting down, I asked an employee if a table could be wiped. The table was cleaned, but no tray, condiments, or basic dining items were provided. When I later asked for these items, the employee responded dismissively, stating that because you asked for the table to be wiped, I replied is that was the extent of the service she walked back to counter and started taking orders. This response was confusing and inappropriate.
I walked back to counter to get my own condiments, so I didn’t get the whataburger experience.
The situation escalated when I was using my phone to FaceTime someone to assist with an order. The employee approached me and accused me of taking photos of her, Instead of asking calmly or seeking clarification, she threatened to report me to the manager and stated that she was a minor, which felt unnecessary and intimidating. As a customer, I felt accused rather than assisted.
When the manager became involved, it did not feel as though my concerns were addressed. The interaction seemed more focused on defusing the situation on behalf of the employee rather than resolving the issue or acknowledging how my experience had been impacted. By that point, my meal and visit were already ruined.
As I was leaving the restaurant, I heard employees shouting “World Star” from the back, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This further reinforced the feeling that the situation was not taken seriously.
I am disappointed by how this was handled and hope this matter is reviewed. Customers should not feel confronted, accused, or mocked for simply asking for basic service and respect.
The audacity to be confronted by an employee – and then play the I’m a minor card !
When clearly this individual felt confident enough to walk up accuse confront and threaten is concerning! Not minor behavior!
Perhaps a picture would of been necessary, but none were taken- but the memory of your actions Do better
Sincerely,
