Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I usually enjoy Whataburger, but this visit was really disappointing. I waited over 20 minutes for just two meals, even though it was not that busy and cars behind me were getting their orders before mine. When I finally received the food, it was cold and the meat looked old and unappetizing. This experience was frustrating and not what I expect from Whataburger.

Fast food needs to be fast, cheap and flavorful. Without these basic qualities I’m just not really motivated to return.
Increased prices, aggressive portion control and a noticeable reduction in the quality of ingredients are the undeniable trifecta of failed guest relations. The flavor of the food is simply no longer very appealing.
Whataburger needs to focus on getting back into the customer service business.

I’ve been wanting to post a review on this place for quite awhile. And it has nothing to do with their food. It’s the drive thru experience. Every time I place an order, I am up charged to a higher meal, which means fries and drink. A #7 is $7.69 on their display board. They always upcharge it even when I tell them otherwise. Last night was $9.69. I clarified what I ordered and the manager was extremely dismissive. Saying that’s what his computer is stating. We went in circles for about 3 minutes. Told him to physically go outside and look at the price on the board. Finally, he stated the employee entered the wrong item. It happens all the time. Also, the whole, “ would you like to help me with a competition with my manager by ordering a chocolate cookie” thing is just too much. If the cookie doesn’t sell on its own and you have to go to these tactics then maybe just get rid of the cookie. Anyways, I hope I don’t experience this again as the food is outstanding. Just fix the whole upsell thing. Only charge what the customer ordered.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent order I placed at your restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing due to multiple issues with my order.
Several items were missing from my order, and my burger was not cooked the way I specifically requested. In addition, I asked for no ice in my drink, but it was still served with ice. These may seem like small details, but they are important to customers who expect their food to be prepared as ordered.
This is not the level of service I expect, and it was frustrating to receive an incorrect and incomplete order. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed to ensure better attention to customer instructions in the future.

Have always been a fan of Whataburger but they are losing their touch of how to do burgers, how customer like them. I don’t like ketchup, mayo, nor mustard so it’s dry. Extra grilled onions and jalapeños have always been a MUST in my burger. Well explained the extra mustard, raw onions, and jalapeños their way. Paid for a burger, I was unable to eat. Customer service is a MUST place to be worked on! Most definitely will NOT be back! Hopefully, everyone else has a better experience than I.

The food was amazing and fresh. The service was also amazing, from ordering to dining in. Specially the great service of Bryan Aguirre, don’t know if he is a manager but he had amazing customer service. Very attentive to our service. Also to other customers. Very polite.

I really enjoyed my first time at this location! I was told that this location was bad compared to the others but I actually really enjoyed my food and the service was great! I went on Tuesday around 7pm earlier this week and the girl in the front whose name is a little hard to pronounce was so nice, patient, and understanding. She is very well mannered and was very nice to my kids and told us to have a beautiful night. 10/10 experience might go again soon!!!

Today was the first time I visited this Brand New Whataburger. I ordered the classic Whataburger, along with an order of onion rings. As expected, the quality of food was good. However my best impression was HOW CLEAN the dining area was. There were 1-2 employees constantly cleaning the tables and floors. This is a pleasant surprise– because too many times I find all the dining tables in other fast food restaurants covered with particles of food or with residue of drinks. KUDOS TO THE MANAGER AND STAFF! 🙂

Just went to return a burger because they put a sauce that my wife is allergic to that we didn’t ask for. The manager brought it up to the employee that made it and he said “really? She just came back because of the mayo?”. Had to stop myself from making it a personal problem. Horrible service. Mad that they have to do their job right.
