Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Ordered for pickup. Very busy so I expected to wait but also expected hot, fresh food. The girl
brought out food and asked all 3 cars “are you Jessica?” The 3rd car said yes, but then said the name on the bag isn’t Jessica. It was my food!?! Good thing I checked because the order wasn’t correct. I had to go inside to get the missing items. Food was cold and for a busy place the fries were old too.

I’ve gone to this location for breakfast a few times, and I’ve never had issues. Today, I went for dinner (a little before 6 p.m.). So, either tonight’s staff members have attitudes, or if this is the typical night staff, someone needs to look into replacements.

For starters, I placed my order through the phone (mobile app) and I scheduled for later pickup. I arrived earlier than my scheduled time, and to my surprise, staff retrieved my food already on a tray. My question: what’s the point of scheduling for a future time for fresh food, if the food will be done earlier than the timeframe and waiting to cool down? I did speak with a staff member at this point, and I think her name was Caitlyn (if I recall correctly, and it may have been Kaitlyn or another variation of the spelling). She had attitude from the get-go in how she spoke with me.

Later, I went to use the men’s restroom and after washing my hands, went for the paper towels. There were no paper towels. Instead, a roll of toilet paper was atop the paper towel dispenser (see attached picture). I left the restroom with my hands dripping and went to the front counter. While my hands are visibly wet, I let the staff member know there were no more paper towels in the men’s restroom. He responded by letting me know that there should be paper towels in the restroom and if not, to use napkins. So I repeated back to him (the staff member), “I need to use napkins to dry my hands?” He, then, said that he would have the paper towels refilled (finally getting somewhere, or so I thought). I responded by asking if he could bring paper towels for my hands at that point. He then responded with, “that’s where I’m going.” My question (in my head): how would or should I know that you are retrieving paper towels at that point, if you are standing in place and talking to me, not even moving your shoe a specific direction to let me know that you’re moving or to which direction? I said, “okay, I’ll wait.” He, then, takes a little bit to grab the paper towels and comes back. I let him know that if he would have communicated with me that he was going to get paper towels, then I wouldn’t have needed to clarify. Then, he tells me that he thought it was “obvious” since he was headed that direction. Again, my question (in my head): are you asking me to be a mindreader?

Before I left the store, I asked the staff member (unnecessary, much-longer-than-needed conversation about the paper towels) for his name and he told me “Daniel.” I let him know that I’d contact the corporate office about my experience. He didn’t say anything. I figured at this point he would have tried to apologize to make things right, but nothing.

On the way out of the location, I mentioned to another customer that the staff had attitudes and she agreed. She was a complete stranger and agreed. How sad.

I contacted the corporate office tonight and explained the above, and have asked for a return call. Hopefully, I receive one. To reiterate, I have been to this location for breakfast before and never had issues until tonight.

Several senior couples have gone there for years after our dance . They have rwmodeled it and its terrible now . The tables and chairs are small , there are no booths now . The service was not good and slow , they told the girl.up front to stop.taking orders because the drive thru was backed up .So we waited long timefor our food that we had already ordered .
We will not go back .
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something about the NEW tables and chairs
that are for children!!!
They are too small to be comfortable , we.are.not large people . Next time we eat there we will.move another table to make it longer so we won’t be sitting with our shoulders touching trying to eat .
Hello CORPORATE are you listening ?

If you like chicken strips that look like they were thrice cooked, hard as a week old biscuit, and make the roof of your mouth sore, then this is the place for you. You best order a double serving of gravy so you can soak them. I haven’t had them in 10Yrs, due to the area I relocated to. I think I’m good for the next 20 years. The employees were very nice. No, I didn’t complain about the food to them.

I’m not a fan of the food personally, nothing inherently wrong with it, just is bland in my opinion. With that said, the staff was great, polite, and they all seemed to work very well together.

Typical Whataburger. Stupid long driveline and even though there’s no one in the lobby, it’s as bad as waiting in the driveline. Every Whataburger always gives the same excuse “sorry for the wait, We got slammed there for a minute” even though the lobby is usually empty when you walk in and order, and the whole time you’re waiting on your order

This place has turned into an absolute joke. Waited 35 minutes in line only to finally get our food but be blocked in because they have cars pulling up to wait. The workers inside saw this but thought it was funny and wouldn’t come out to have cars move. Finally got out and home after an hour only to find curly black hairs in our food causing us to trash it.

Ordered wings for curb side. Got down the road a ways and found they didn’t give me napkins or a fork. No biggee. But when I realized they did not put the honey butter sauce on my chicken wings, I had to go back.. And they didn’t seem too pleased that the fact that they had to fix it. Better luck next time

Anytime I go breakfast lunch or dinner – the fries/hashbrowns taste and look like they have been sitting there for 5 hours. Wings are soggy.
Never give the right sauces and napkin
