Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

We come here regularly, the staff is very friendly and helpful. My husband loves the burgers here, and that’s the only reason we keep coming back. But recently they renovated the interior. Yes, everything is new now, but the old cozy atmosphere is gone. The tables are smaller, the sofas have been removed. The lighting is bright white, like in a laboratory. I don’t know who came up with the brilliant idea of putting in metal chairs, which are not only uncomfortable but also very cold. You actually freeze while sitting on these chairs. Maybe it will be more comfortable in the summer, I don’t know. It feels like they are deliberately creating conditions to make people spend less time inside, and it seems this plan is working – there are indeed fewer people now. So I wish the person who came up with the idea of putting in these chairs to sit on them for the rest of their life.

Service employees have been pleasant. Quality of food is hit and miss. If you make a special request, you may not get it or they may skimp on your order. Quality is not consistent each visit. Some orders chicken tenders are large and fresh, last visit paid for an extra chicken tender for $2 and got a thumb sized tender, they were stale, and they skimp on fries.

Ordered curbside and unfortunately there were a lot of mistakes.
We got sweet tea instead of unsweet.
The giant Dr. Pepper we got was completely flat and undrinkable.
We were missing an order of large fries.
And we paid more for an extra chicken tender and it was inedible and super tiny.
One of these mistakes is understandable, but all together is unacceptable.

SAIRI was waiting on me. She is so friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my experience. Excellent service at this location. My food was fresh and hot. I would recommend 100 times over!

used to be a hit or miss until they messed up our order today and THEN they told us they did nothing wrong (when we called over the phone)… yet we have we have a receipt and they decide to fight us on it??? i would to somewhere where they wouldn’t argue with you

Went thru drive thru at 4:30 in the afternoon on a weekday. I got 2 what’s geese burger meals. Servers were very friendly, onion rings were hot but the burgers were ice cold and appeared to be precooked and there was very little business at that time. Very disappointing and way below Whataburger standards. It had been a while since I had been to Whataburger and it will probably be a while before I go back. There’s too much competition to accept that kind of quality.

Got a BBQ chicken strip sandwich meal and it came out quick and fresh. The curbside service did very well and the lady had a cute whataburger bow on I loved it! Definitely gonna be returning soon.

OMG…!!!! My first time ordering and eating here, and the person taking care of me and my cousin was outstanding. He took the time to speak to us about the menu and explained the top choices vs the variations in the menu. Like I never had someone actually take the time to do this. I’m super grateful and a very happy customer. Thank you so much Cory for helping us and taking the time. I will definitely be coming back.
