Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Hamburgers are made to eat hot not cold.
Went through the drive thru for a couple of double cheeseburgers and 1 large fry. The young lady struggled to take my simple order and I had to repeat myself twice. She continued to question my order and I offered to start over but she told me to drive to the window. Once at the window, the young lady read back my order correctly. When we arrived home and set the table, I discovered that the burgers did not have cheese. I packed up everything, returned the Whataburger and requested the manager for a refund. The manager happen to be the person that struggled taking my order. I calmly explained my reason for refund. No attempt to right the wrong in order to save a customer. Went down the road to the Longhorn Cafe where my order was easily understood and provided with their great burgers. No more driving through this particular Whataburger as it was rather frustrating and then to get the order wrong. Plenty of other places to go for good service and burgers
I stopped at this Whataburger early Sunday morning with my fiancé. We ordered a double and a triple cheeseburger and politely asked for our entire meal, including fries, to be made fresh. We were told yes.
When we pulled up to the drive‑thru, the employee at the window was visibly unprofessional — she wasn’t even wearing a bra, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Still, we thanked her and went home.
Once home, the fries were barely warm and so heavily salted they couldn’t be reheated. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Myra Peña, to request that our food be remade since we would have to drive all the way back. We reassured her we would return the entire uneaten order because it was inedible. She still refused to remake the burgers, saying only the fries could be replaced or that we could get a refund. It was not a partial refund — it was the whole meal we were returning — yet she refused to honor that.
Myra did not want to serve a complete fresh meal, and she didn’t care that we had to waste our time and gas driving back because her team couldn’t do their jobs correctly the first time. That is the definition of rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.
On a Sunday morning during the holiday season, when customers expect the bare minimum of respect and quality, this location failed completely. Management does not care about customers, and the staff lacks professionalism.
Avoid this location.
My wife, son and I went to Whataburger for a quick meal before going home. Usually have great service at this location but today was different.
My son’s order came out good but my wife’s order and my order had issues.
My wife ordered the Original with cheese. She got no cheese on her burger.
I ordered the triple meat with triple cheese and specified mustard, pickle and onion only. I ordered onion rings and a medium strawberry malt in place of the soft drink.
My burger, like my wife’s, came with no cheese. They also didn’t add the mustard so it had pickles and onions only. My shake, instead of subbing it like I asked, she charged me for it as an extra item.
I went to get my drink and wanted sweet tea but it was empty in the dining room. I told her the tea was empty and she said she would fill it for me. I specified sweet tea. When she returned with my cup, it was full of HOT tea with absolutely no ice and to top it off, it was unsweet tea instead of the sweet tea I requested.
I don’t know what the hell was wrong with this location tonight but my experience was horrible. So many unnecessary mistakes.
This has happened 3 seperate times, 2 of them during the last run of this menu item. Always check before leaving the drive thru!!!!
I was quickly greeted by Brianna, who took my order. My order was verified, prepped and quickly delivered to me within the 15 minutes.
Service is fantastic in my opinion. The staff at this location is very professional, courteous and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you’re getting.
I hope that should you choose to visit this waterburger, that your experience is good or better than mine.
