Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The restaurant was packed with travelers, and the line was full of people placing orders. The cashier was doing an amazing job calmly explaining which items were unavailable, even while dealing with a few frustrated customers. Despite the chaos, every single staff member — from the manager to the cashier to the crew preparing and handing out orders — stayed calm, friendly, respectful, and focused on helping everyone as quickly as possible.
Their teamwork, patience, and professionalism under pressure were truly impressive. Plus our food was delicious! Huge kudos to this entire Whataburger crew for keeping things running smoothly during an incredibly busy holiday rush!
(I don’t care for the fries at Whataburger and opt for medium onion rings- which I didn’t receive the first time)
I called back and was offered a remake, so I came back to get a remake a few days later and my chicken strips were in a fry container and 3 onion rings (2 regular sized and one tiny one) were thrown in the bag in no container. It obviously didn’t sit well with me, so I called back to talk to a manager and when I told him I felt like someone was probably upset with me (cause I am an emotional thinker) I was told it was “silly” to think that a staff member would do that out of retaliation and that the onion rings probably fell out. As I told him- they weren’t in any container and to only receive 2 rings and a tiny one wasn’t even a sufficient replacement… he didn’t seem to give much reassurance.
I think people are missing the principle of it. I didn’t ask for a full remake as I was offered one and the remake was less than satisfactory and the lack of effort made me feel I was less than cared for as a customer.
Otherwise, food is usually pretty fresh and staff is typically great but my last two visits really left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Not to mention every single time we’ve been we’ve waited 20 min+ for our food since this location has opened. Absolutely ridiculous
I recommend just going to the one by Schreiner Uni
