Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Food was ok. Never been before and I wasn’t terribly impressed. Just an overpriced burger king but tastes worse and was kind of cold. Milkshake was ok but fries were way too salty.

Good place.
I was driving from Texas to Louisiana and I stop here to go to the restrooms and for food for take out.
The place is very nice and clean.
They attend me very fast, kind and they give me my order very fast.
I ask the combo 1 and I eat in my car and not was very good. I expected something tastier

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a Whataburger.
When we pulled up to the drive thru, we weren’t greeted, the man just said “Whataburger”. As we were ordering, he kept cutting off my husband saying “what else, what else, what else”. No total was given, just told pull up.
Our food a large fry, large Diet Coke and 2 grilled chicken sandwiches were so haphazardly made, my sauce, lettuce and tomato were literally on the side of my sandwich in the wrapper.
There was no receipt given and the person in the drive thru was wearing a black hoodie with skulls, no uniform nor name tag though I know from the voice he was not the one that took our order.
We frequent this location on our travels from TX to Louisiana but if this is the way they’re going to treat people I’ll continue down to the other location in Orange on 16th.

Ordered this and drove 8 to 12 minutes home. The chicken strips must have been cooked at lunch… yesterday. Chicken is dried out enough to throw it away and the fries are no better. It all smells of burned cooking oil. Absolute disaster. Worst part is there is no shame. Looks like a bowl of cereal will have to do.

The people working the drive through were friendly and the burger was ok. However, the fries were floppy and cold. I’m not sure they were cooked at all. Unfortunately we didn’t try them until we had driven away and gotten on the highway. Luckily we had some popcorn in the car that we could eat with our burgers. We threw the fries away. They were inedible, and I was concerned about getting ill from eating them.

So, I finally tried whataburger, and have NO idea why they’re popular, so disappointed! The fries have no flavor or crisp to them, just limp almost wet shoe strings. The burger was pretty dry and flavorless other than the mustard! I had to check to make sure there was an actual patty in there. There was nothing wrong with the staff or atmosphere, they and it was great and clean, it was just the food was terrible. Definitely NOT WORTH the hype they get. I’m definitely sticking to Burger King from now on.

We always stop at this location on our way to the casino. Lately we have been pretty disappointed. This time, we went in first to use the restroom. The toilets look rusted out and unclean. The bathroom in general felt like it needed a good scrub down. When we went back to the car to order food in through the drive through, we experienced bad customer service. Due to dietary restrictions, we had asked for a chicken sandwich, but to be made like the Whataburger with all of the same fixings. She was very confused by our request also we talked around in circles. Then we had asked for a milkshake. We got denied since the ice cream machine was not working, so we had to go across the street to McDonald’s to get our fix. To get to the window to pay, there was a cement pole in the way to protect the gutter. I understand it’s purpose-to protect the integrity of the gutter. However, it made it nearly impossible to reach the window with how far it made me drive away from the building. By the time that we got our food at Whataburger, all of our burgers/sandwiches were cold. The sandwiches requested to be made with dietary restrictions in mind were made incorrectly, and they were sloppily made. The fries were hot at least.

I Love whataburger, but this location is horrible, the fries were hot but soggy like they has been put in the microwave, the burgers were a disgusting mess, and were not made like we ordered them, I definitely do not recommend this location. Pretty gross.

Very clean restaurant. Maria took our order and she was very friendly. Food was delicious and served promptly.
