Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Horrible horrible service. I only ordered 4 shakes. Took 30 min to get someone to acknowledge me while waiting in line. (Outer line) they kept saying they will get you . Saw many cars get their food and finally someone came out took my card and brought out 3 shakes but charged 4 ,then got mad cause I told her I needed a refund. (Every one had an attitude)As she went inside to get my refund she came outside with the shake and said it started working but it was slow. I asked that I hoped they aren’t melted as I had been waiting for a while , she confirmed they were fresh, I opened the lids to the 1st 3 shakes she brought out and as you can see in the picture they are melted and not well mixed. 2 chocolate (they don’t look the same) one strawberry and the one they brought later was banana pudding. I still took them cause they were for my kids. I knew melted wouldn’t be a big deal for them. Well they all had a horrible after taste . It was so bad and strong that we couldn’t drink it. At this point I was home . I didn’t want to go back because I knew I would probably get more attitude and not solve anything.sad sad. And even more that they would serve this to customers. I will try to call and see what non sense they tell me.

Oh my goodness! This is the slowest, most organized restaurant I have ever been to in Baytown. I ordered my food online and waited until it was supposed to be ready before going in. Once inside, I waited another 30 minutes while crew members roamed aimlessly about the place, and people were held hostage awaiting their orders. I had a young man come to me and ask for my order 3 duodenal times only to say that it was coming shortly every time. These were false statements every time. I finally broke and asked for a refund. The kind lady who helped me was so embarrassed by how the staff was running as she wasn’t even supposed to be there. Thank goodness she was, though. She gave me my refund & fulfilled my order. I hope this was fluke and this isn’t how they always operate. But i won’t be going back.

Food is good but depending on what time you go you can get served some super cold food. But even if it’s cold it still will take like 20 minutes to get your food. I don’t even get food there anymore just because of how many bad experiences I’ve had with it. Better to make the drive to the new one in Mont Belvieu.

I would just love to know why this Whataburger cannot live up to other locations in the nearby area. I rarely go to Whataburger because they are all out of the way compared to this one which is only 5 minutes down the street from us. They never get the order right and if they “do” it’s a miserable amount of toppings and if we come here for pick up or dine in it’s like a 45 minute wait.. it’s just ridiculous and a waste of time/money.

Normally we stop in Baytown to eat Breakfast enroute to Louisianna. Because of construction at our turnoff, we drove to another exit where there were restaurants. Whataburger on Hwy 146 was in the cluster of places where one could eat. It is located in an attractive modern building. Interior was beautifully designed with a nice layout to order, pickup and dine. The place was clean. The one person at counter was efficient & seemed to be doing work of three. Since we were not familiar with their menu & didn’t know what we wanted, she directed me to look at the menu board while she took care of other business. I ordered two coffees and Items #20 # #24.from menu board. Service was quick. Since we were there in the mid morning expected condiments and soap in men’s bathroom to be stocked. Low on jellies and two dispensers were out of soap.

This location isn’t my favorite. The fries are not fresh, and the food is not as fresh as other locations I frequent. Drive further down i-10 & guaranteed you’ll get hot, fresh fries and flavorful burgers.

Ordered a Whataburger w/cheese dine in. The meat was barely warm so the cheese was not melted. This is the third time I have gotten pre-cooked meat! I thought whataburger cooked their meat up fresh. No way this meat was fresh-it was a little warm and dry. That being said the cokes are excellent. I might as well go to McDonald’s just pass on this place!
