Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Stopped in for lunch. The place was very crowded. We got our food about 15 minutes after ordering. Food was good. Tables needed to be cleaned. There are some 2 person tables that are placed in a crowded spot.

I don’t ever have issues at this location but tonight was different. I can be understanding if I’m explained something but I was waiting for my food for 20 minutes when someone finally came out to tell me they were holding off on making gravy. Had the girl at the window told me before hand I would have understood. So much lack of professionalism. Really didn’t appreciate sitting and waiting for something that wasn’t even being made and I really really don’t appreciate the young Hispanic guy with glasses laughing in my face. Do better or don’t work there if y’all don’t like it.

Whataburger has become one of my favorite true on-the-go stops, ever since they started offering curbside service.

The food is always good, and the inside is consistently clean when I do go in, but being able to order ahead, pull into the parking lot, have my food brought out, and get back on the road is often just what I need. It’s fast, convenient, and reliable, which makes it an easy choice when I’m short on time.

I’m not really a Whataburger hopper, but hey I have to get my fix while in Texas. Everything was good as to be expected from a Whataburger. The food was fresh, the service was friendly, and the place was clean. Prices are good and we enjoyed some family time.

Team lead was a bit hostile(didn’t quite get her name) and spoke down on employees coming in/out.
BUT the cashier, Aleyanah, I was greeted with was phenomenal despite that.
This is what real attention to customer satisfaction looks like.
Thanks for correcting this behavior even from your direct report!

Don’t know if you have had the displeasure of eating at the whataburger in Brownwood tx, but save your money for a decent place to eat. Section hand, McDonald’s, red wagon, there are some good places to eat. These people are rude, they are not as professional as you would think. I asked if the breakfast platter came with gravy, ( if you have a biscuit you should be able to get some gravy ). NO, You can’t have gravy with your biscuit unless you specifically order the biscuits and gravy. I was just trying to make conversation and said that the whataburger I usually frequent gives you gravy with your biscuit, and he literally told me no, we don’t do that here. If you are like me, and you want a decent place where you don’t have to have any upset stomach eating breakfast because some worthless employee decided that he can be rude to you when he wants. Then you really need to avoid this place. It is not a good place to eat.

This place used to have quick service and good food. What a change for the worse. I waited forever in the drive through today, with nobody ahead of me. When I finally placed my order, it was another long wait at the window. I threw most of the meal away: unseasoned fries, and a flavorless burger swimming in grease. Won’t be back again.

The food is great. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t good at this Whataburger. The staff is always polite. The only thing is to make sure you ask for ketchup and napkins if driving through or curb side pick up. Just trust me. Oh yes and utensils if needed. These items are usually missing from the bag.

Edward at the counter was hands-down the BEST clerk we’ve ever interacted with at a restaurant. The service we received at this location was better than any sit-down restaurant: friendly, welcoming, and Edward was the icing on the cake! Thanks for being so sweet to the big group of Wyoming travelers, your “Texas treasure” lived up to its hype!
