Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

The food was hot and tasty.
Whataburger is a good fast food restaurant, but this location off Hulen is trash and it starts with the staff. I’m blaming the manager(s) all the way down to the cashiers. They constantly mis-match orders and the wait time is atrocious.
Usually from waiting for a long time for food, you’d expect it to be nice and hot, but due to mismanagement and passing in-and-out meals to the wrong customers, your food tastes like it’s been sitting under a lamp for an hour.
This location was my wife and I’s main Whataburger and we’ve ordered here several times, but the service quality has been significantly dropping the past flow years. This is fast food that’s not fast and that’s okay if you at least get the right order to the right patrons. This night they specifically asked me what my order was, and I confirmed that what they stated was correct, only to then immediately hand me an order nowhere near what they stated less than 30 seconds ago.
Also, this isn’t even considering the cost of the food, but I’m not gonna make time getting into that can of worms. If it’s so darn hard to get orders right, then open up that first drive-thru window so people can at least pay for the correct meal. At least operate to the original design of the establishment/building format, that works!
Feels like this place is so far beyond recovery that they just need to close and find a better location for new employees. I don’t typically complain about restaurants like this but if we keepin’ it a buck, y’all are trash.
She was standing in the very corner while the register worker was waiting to take an order. This lady got upset that her order wasn’t taken even though she never approached the counter nor was she wasn’t she waiting too long. She called them racist and then the manager stepped in and handled it.
On top of that, there was a system mistake with my order and the manager got it all taken care of.
Great place great manager
