Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I’ve been raised in Texas and eaten at Whataburger my whole life and I just had the best experience at a Whataburger that I’ve ever had. Our group was greeted by multiple staff upon entry – even someone from the kitchen welcomed us! The manager noticed we were a large group and asked if we were tax exempt so they could help complete a quick form and made it so easy. We were offered promotional cups. Our food came out in less than five minutes and it was all exactly correct as ordered! The asst manager came out and checked on us. The food was hot fresh and delicious. And everyone said bye and have a good day when we left. We are just traveling through on a road trip but this place is worth the stop. If I lived here, I’d be here weekly for sure. Thank you! Especially to Alexus and Lakeisha. Thank you for making our day better!

I used to come to this location almost every night after work. About 6 months or so ago I moved to the other side of town and now I go to a different Whataburger.
I was on the timberland side of town this morning, so I placed an order hoping and praying that Nickie would be the drive through cashier.
Nickie goes above and beyond every single time I go to this Whataburger. She knows exactly who I am (I always place my order online). Today though, she even mentioned how she hasn’t seen me in awhile. She does an exceptional job and that’s not something that can be trained into someone. It’s just who she is.
I am the general manager of Schlotzsky’s and I know how hard it is to find great people like that. If I was the GM of this store, I would definitely be doing everything in my power to make sure that Nickie moved up the ladder in management real quick.
I can’t express enough how wonderful it was to get off work at night and go get my burger and Nickie was the one taking care of me. She can make any bad day better and that’s the purpose of being in food service. Sometimes people are having the worst days of their life and all they want is a burger and then to have someone like Nickie give that burger to them, makes it a million times better.
I wish there were more words I could say to fully express how perfect she is at her job but I’m sure that anyone who works with her or has even met her, knows how perfect she is.

Got 2 double meat burgers what a meal dry to go. Lady ask if wanted cheese said no. Got home both burgers had cheese and fries were hard only love minutes away. Had to go back to exchange the order and get burgers without cheese. The burgers that replaced the ones with cheese were smashed, the buns were like 1/4 -3/8 inch thick and wet and gooey inside the tomatoes, lettuce. Pickles and onions were gooey and slimy.

My family stopped in this location on Tuesday September 8th. We arrived like 2 minutes before breakfast was to end.
The staff was So professional and friendly. They could have easily turned us down for our order of 5 jalapeno cheddar biscuits with sausage. BUT they were VERY KIND and cooked us fresh biscuits. Thank you all for professionalism and kindness. Five stars to you all.
