Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

And I must say, thats the cleanest store I’ve been in in a very long time and thats saying something cause I almost live in whataburger! And to the young man working the register at 7 pm on January 1st of 2026 ( i apologize I didnt catch your name) you mixed a great coffee! First time trying the coffee and im genuinely impressed! Slowest Whataburger I’ve ever been to for starters. The first time I went I got a 5 inch long hair in my honey butter chicken biscuit, pulled the whole thing out of my mouth. Ordering ahead also doesn’t do any good either, I ordered a sausage egg and cheese biscuit another morning and only got the egg and cheese.

Went through the drive through line. It was not a busy time of day. No one was behind us in the line. We sat for 15 minutes at the window waiting for food with screaming/crying kiddos. I understand if it takes a minute to get the food cooked, just inform the customer so they know what to expect or even want to wait that long.
