Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This place has never been able to get a special order correct for my family. Almost always missing items. Check your bags before you leave. Never get delivered because you WILL be going back. Young manager very snippy when you bring these things to their attention. Disappointing you have to travel to take visitors for a true Whataburger experience. Highland village location is NOT the one

I was very pleased with my visit today at lunch time. The person taken orders in the lobby was cleaning the tables, my order was taken by Lidia as soon as she noticed my presence in the counter. She was all smiles and helped me decide over which meal to choose, I appreciate the recommendations. The food was fresh and hot. I was done eating when Luke assisted me and offer to throw my trash away, I got to say- service, food quality and friendliness was on point today. I will most definitely keep coming back, what a great team!!

Decided to give this whataburger a chance and immediately regretted it.
There was a long hair inside my burger. I’m sooo glad I looked and opened it before eating anymore. I had originally opened it because I was upset that the cheeseburger I had ordered was missing cheese. 0/10 do not recommend. Also the top bun was terrible old and flat. Literally everything about it was terrible. Just go to Wendy’s. It’s so much better

I recently worked with Luke on a massive catering order for my company — over 1,100 people — and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, Luke went above and beyond in every possible way.
He covered every single detail of our order, communicated clearly and consistently throughout the entire process, and made sure nothing was left to chance. The food was delivered exactly on time, beautifully set up, and ready to go.

At 7pm on March 7, 2026, they brought out the incorrect order in the drivethrough. When I went inside, staff member was rude after being told it was wrong and when bringing it out. Then the fries and food were cold. I like the chain, but this location seems to be going downhill. Order #535680 per receipt.
