Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Stopped by the Whataburger at Legends and it didn’t disappoint! The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and my order came out hot and fresh. The burger was awesome — juicy and full of flavor — and the fries were nice and crispy. Even though it was pretty busy, they kept things moving quick. Super glad to have a Whataburger in this area now. I’ll definitely be back!

The service was excellent. Very nice employees. We had the double whataburger with cheese. I think it was over rated and it was a bit messy but overall it was good. The prices was fair for the area and amount of food you get. The atmosphere was delightful. We went around halloween and they nice photo opportunity. I think whataburger is definitely worth visiting

Everrything was wonderful! We hadn’t had the pleasure of a Whataburger in years and I was in the area on business and couldn’t resist. My wife is from Texas and wasn’t with me so i had to take a Whataburger home to her. I explained to the manager on the front counter, Carlos that the burger had to travel a couple hundred miles and asked if he would make it plain and put “everything” on the side. He went above and beyond and We both throughly enjoyed our Burgers! The restaurant (Legands KCK area) was super clean even though “lunch rush” was still in progress and everyone was very cordial. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Whataburger and will definitely be back when in the area!

Come hungry if you’re headed to the Whataburger in Kansas City, KS. I ordered the special, Bacon Wrangler Double, and the burger toppings were so plentiful they were literally falling off the bun. The taste was excellent. Fries were good but could use a pinch more of salt. Nothing that can’t be fixed by customers. Ice in the soda fountain is top tier on the ice power ranking. Restaurant was super clean and staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back.

We visit Whataburger for lunch or dinner every time we are in town. We went yesterday 2/12/26 and as usual everything was fabulous. The cashier was conversational and helpful, the manager grabbed a highchair and put it at our table without us asking, and the young man who brought our food out was very sweet. Each time we’ve been here the staff is friendly, the food is hot and tasty and the place is clean. The quality is better than you get at majority of other fast food restaurants.

I ordered 2 orders of the 6 pack cinnamon rolls around 3 pm 2/27/26 at this location the person at the register was nice and friendly. Me and the group I purchased for tried the cinnamon, all eating off of only one cinnamon we did not like it. after the party we had was over I took them back around 12:30 am 2/28/26 the person at the register was great help she noted we will get a refund but she couldn’t because they didn’t have enough to give a refund in the register to come back today I came back at 12/28/26 at 4:30 pm I told this manager who was very rude named Carlos Medina Or Meldina that I was told that I would get my refund today , he ask what was the problem I told him the cinnamon rolls around was nasty and didn’t taste right .His response was that is no reason to get a refund , I said yes it is he continued to argue no it is not . So when I told him ok I will talk to the owner his response I don’t care who you talk to or call in a very rude voice. I called customer service they documented this issues now I have to wait. Still have no refund I will continue to report this issue for someone to be a manager he does not have good customer service skills. And should not be a manager very rude & hostile .

Omg I love Whataburger.
I grew up with it. But y’all
lol “I’m never ever ever buying sauce for $0.75”
Also why is it that when I start using the kiosk machine to order my food, I don’t get the option to pay in cash but yet I can do it at Taco Bell.
Kind of coming from an entitlement point of view, but it’s really kind of an inconvenience in my American way of life to stand there and fill out my girlfriend and I’s orders on the screen and try and pay in cash. And the guy behind the counter says oh yeah no I can’t just transfer your order to my screen it’s not all one system. So you have to retell me your whole entire orders again. I’m still going to eat here obviously.
PS. I used to eat Whataburger so much but then y’all got expensive. So now it’s once or twice a month. It doesn’t need to be this expensive because the diner in my hometown sells the same size. Patty, melt and taste just the same. They even let me bring in my own Whataburger sauce that I bought at Walmart to put on my patty melt for me. And the Patty melt itself is only $5.

Definitely one of the better burgers in the area. Im from Omaha so any time I get into Kansas, a Whataburger is what I crave. And the fries are delicious as well. I wish we had 1 of these back home.

Food is always good. Restaurant is clean. I would not recommend the service. I ordered online, came in for pick up to be greeted by an employee “off the clock” stating, “I’d help but I’m off the clock.” She proceeds to go make food for her sister. Another employee comes up and does not even acknowledge anyone at the counter.
Then, they were missing part of the order but it was too late to go back and mess with it.
I come here a lot, and it’s never been quite this bad on service air sure.

I have started ordering on the App since I’ve had so much trouble with your store getting my family’s order correct. Assuming reading an order off the app would be easier. I ordered 2 unsweet teas Ang got 2 sweet teas. We ordered 4 sauces that you charge .75cents for and not a single one was in the bag. I truly can’t remember the last time I was at your store and my order was correct. It’s a running joke in our family how many fry’s will be left out of our order. I grew up in Texas and love Whataburger. The location in Overland Park is spot on.
