Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Three or four times I’ve tried eating at Whataburger. I guess I just don’t care for their burgers. Neither did my three granddaughters. I tried them again today and even though the burger probably wasn’t bad. I still didn’t care for it that much. The atmosphere could be upgraded by a little better cleanliness. Service was slow because one of the cashiers was busy on her phone.

We were driving from TX and stopped by to get our WB fix.
Honey butter chicken biscuit and taquito were just as good as back home.

I ordered my food online so it would be ready when I got there . The food was supposed to be ready between 3:56 & 3:59 am I didn’t leave my house until about 4:10 because I am familiar with this location and I know how things go. The food was still not ready when I got there . I sat down to wait didn’t really pay attention to how long it had been but it was quite a few minutes before the girl came out and told me and another guy she was waiting on the fries for our orders, I had gotten a number 2 and some breakfast sandwiches. So I waited for quite a while longer, they gave me our drink cups so I filled them up and the food was brought out. Took the food home and my husband was pissed as he had called me on my way home and told me it had been almost an hour since I left took him his food , his sandwich and FRIES were cold ! I opened my egg sandwich and the sandwich was pitiful looking, put it back together and damn near couldn’t bite through the egg . The bite I did take I spit back out it was hard and crusty. So I moved on to my breakfast burger had the exact same problem with the egg on that sandwich as well . So I didn’t even get to eat my food . Now mind you I only live maybe 10 minutes from there so this was utterly ridiculous. And for the $24 dollars that I spent I got to eat nothing .

The food was incredibly delicious, especially the Bacon Burger. Service was fast too. I’m talking 5-10 minutes. Decoration is bland, but very clean.

Stopped to get dinner, stood for probably 10 minster to order, a girl from the back finally took my order, I upsized my meal to get a larger drink. I go to get my drink and there’s no ice, the employee proceeded to tell me that it would be OK, just not to let it set!!! They put a sign up after that, as I asked for ice from the drive thru, and they proceeded to say it was out as well!! Bad way to do business!!!

Madison is a breath of fresh air. When she is involved in my order it’s consistently perfect. Friendly, outgoing and an asset to this location! She makes my mornings better and I appreciate her happiness after a trying day. Give this girl a raise!

I went there today and got the sweet & spicy burger and the new berry refresher the burger tasted off especially the patty. The bun was stale too. I won’t come back again if this is how the food is going to be, but the berry refresher was delicious over the actual food, crazy, right?
