Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Stopped here today with my son. Had a really good experience. A rep came out to my car to tell me something we ordered was out and she sweetened the deal for us to make up for it. The food was on time, hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Keep up the good work guys we SEE you!

Not a huge fan of fast food but my kid wanted to try it. Staff was incredibly attentive, food was surprisingly good, and portions were huge.
My child’s kids meal burger was about the size of a standard single patty burger was about the size of a standard fast food burger and my burger was about 2-4 times the size.
First time I’ve ever been to a Whataburger and it’s definitely stop again on my next road trip!

I liked the kiosks so I could go through the menu and customize my food without making the staff wait for me to choose my options. The honey-butter wings (which are boneless, BTW) and fries were very good!

Big shoutout to the Whataburger team in Smyrna this morning — they absolutely crushed it! From the moment I walked in, the energy was solid, and the customer service was top-tier. James and the crew were on point — fast, friendly, and professional. I got my food hot, my drink cold, and they even made sure the top was sealed just right.
Mornings can be rough — people usually grouchy, slow, or off their game — but not here. This team set the tone for the day, and I left feeling good. As a Google Local Guide in the top 10% for restaurants, I gotta give credit where it’s due.
Keep running a tight ship, y’all. I’ll definitely be back.

The following review is solely opinion-based, coming from my actual experience with Whataburger Smyrna TN located at 360 Sam Ridley Pkwy W, Smyrna, TN 37167.
My family typically does not eat fast food. However, we are new parents to a 4 m/o, and it’s been a rough day and we needed to eat at least something for dinner. My wife ordered us food thru Door Dash from the Whataburger in Smyrna on Sam Ridley Pkwy. See attached pictures for what we received. I guess you can call it food. The order was wrong and the instructions are clear for our order. I took one bite and spit back out. I just can’t, it looks like it’s been dropped on a dirty kitchen floor for gods sake. My wife ate her burger before I could look at the food, bc she was very hungry and needed to feed our baby, but at this point I’m worried about how this low quality grade food is going to make her and my baby sick. This was really, really disappointing Whataburger Smyrna – and more disgusting then anything else. This location has been marred with troubled operations since it first opened.
I write this opinion-based review bc yes it’s a minor annoyance to get the wrong order, but this is more so a health and food safety concern for the general public than anything else. ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ ♂️ ♂️

My husband and I ordered via Uber the Monterey burger. We ordered one meal to share (Thank God)! We had seen a commercial for the Monterey burger while watching football. I understand food is not going to be as perfect and desirable as a commercial, but this was horrible. It looked like someone miss understood the direction on preparation and tasted nothing like described on the commercial. Also, I know burgers are greasy, but the bottom bun was saturated from grease.

We spent way too much to eat there one night, and our food was gross! The cheese on our burgers were still cold, so that made the rest of the burger not even warm. It was so nasty. Not to mention our fries were not hot, and barely warm. I called the manager (which I’ve never done) and he just couldn’t care less! Didn’t offer us anything, and had a horrible attitude.Just so infuriating to spend almost $70 for two adult combos, 3 kid meals and 3 small milk shakes. All of it to be non eatable. Been seriously thinking about contacting headquarters to let them know about their business, and how it is ran in smyrna, tn

Got take out today and drove home. The fries were brown and old. Tasted like oil like they have been sitting or refried. Never had fries like this from Whataburger and they’re my favorite!
The burger was good but the wrapper was covered in oil… Which just made the experience worse.

I finally had a Whatburger but I am still like what is so great about it? I can think of other places that have a better burger including like Freddys, Five Guys and Cookout for instance. It was an ok burger heavy on lettuce wedge and onions. The bun was good. I definitely wouldn’t wait in line for it ( although our basic burger took almost 20 minutes to get even going inside versus the drive thru). The sauce seems to be a hit and and the Dr Pepper shake was unique and really good though. Probably a case of what you grew up on and where. We all have our favorite comfort fast food.
