Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

As a Texan, I love Whataburger, but we can all admit that lots of locations have slacked off in both service and food.
However, almost every time I stop in Alabama for Whataburger it does not disappoint.
The service was excellent and our online order was right on time. There was an extra medium fry in our bag and when they got our strawberry shake size wrong, they let us keep the small and upgraded our extra one to a large. Everything we ordered was so good. Quite literally the best Monterey Melt I have ever had. Super friendly service and we were back on the road in no time.

Whataburger is the best! Food at this location is always consistent! As well, great customer service! I’m a regular at this location and I can honestly say I look forward to seeing the staff throughout the week! They are the nicest group of people I have ever met! I have dined from this particular Whataburger twice already, and on both occasions they failed my orders. It is miraculous how you can’t read a DoorDash order and add gravy when I paid for it, and now today I specifically asked for no cheese, AND YOU WENT AHEAD AND ADDED CHEESE TO IT! What if I was lactose intolerant or someone else were? I can’t contribute to this store when they only show up for a paycheck, and not provide what the customer is asking for. The evening staff here needs to go back to school and learn to read and understand basic instructions.

Toya and the team at Whataburger Hoover are top notch! We ordered 300 honey butter chicken biscuits for our dealerships today and we walked in while they were working on it and the teamwork and encouragement to each other that we witnessed was amazing. This location needs some serious management changes. Went in on Sunday to order lunch. It took me 41 minutes to get my food. There were people waiting everywhere. The 2 managers were too busy chit chatting and walking around to even help their staff. Then what I believe to be the general manager (red hair) just left. Walked out and said “if yall need me call me” and then under her breath in front of all the waiting customers said “don’t call me, my phone will be on DND anyway”. Why would a manager leave her store in the middle of chaos? After waiting longer and people behind me getting their food I was told my ticket has been “lost”. Waited another 10 minutes for them to make my order….only for it to be completely wrong.
