Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

We dined in on 11/14 right at 6pm. We ordered two burgers and a kids grilled cheese meal. We waited around 20 minutes to get our food, they didn’t look busy but I could be overlooking something. First burger was great, but our grilled cheese had ketchup put in it (didn’t know that was an option yuke) and our other burger came out missing the mustard (the only thing we asked for on it). We asked to get the grilled cheese remade without the ketchup in it and for the side of mustard. The girl was polite and agreed to fix and make it right. Waited almost an additional 10 minutes for those two items. When the grilled cheese came back out, it hardly had any cheese on it, it was just bread. We then had to go back up a THIRD time to get that corrected. We then realized we were missing our apple juice and cookie for our kids meal. Had to go back up and get that as well. We still ended up missing the Apple juice so we gave up, ate what we had and left.
My first few experiences there were EXCELLENT! They were during the lunch hours though so maybe different staff? This last experience has made me pretty hesitant on going back.

Ate here for the first time today. I had to get my tire repaired at discount tire, so I walked next-door. Incredible service. And the food was delicious. The Manager, Denise, was so very kind. I asked her if the Dr Pepper blackberry shake was good, and she gave me a little sample of it. She was very sweet and welcoming and warm. The food was delicious. I’ve never had breakfast at a Whataburger. It was great. I will say that the breakfast on a bun sandwich was a lot tastier than the biscuits and gravy. But I wanted to try them both. I would recommend the sandwich if you want breakfast. Biscuits and gravy was just a little bit over done. But overall fantastic experience would recommend. Oh, and the iced coffee was fantastic

The service was excellent. Kalania and Jay were so kind and sweet to my family. They let us know about different foods deals. Kalania let us sample the Hibiscus lemonade which was delicious! I appreciate their kindness it made my Sunday. Free tenders on Sundays in March from 12 to 3 is awesome!!

Went to Whataburger for the first time ever today, most likely won’t return. It was past lunch rush, about 1:15, no other cars in line. I ordered a double with cheese, no onions. I even saw the “no onions” sticker on the wrapper when I looked in my bag. I get home, unwrap it and boom, onions galore. It wasn’t busy Whataburger, do better to earn my business. Too many places have just as good or better. Service was ok, one hint…say “Thank you” when a customer leaves…

I had a fantastic experience. My order was taken quickly and came out fresh, hot, and exactly how I requested it.
Morgan really stood out with such a positive attitude and genuine attention to detail. It’s clear they care about making sure customers have a great experience.

Finally tried this place for the first time, and honestly, it wasn’t anything special. There are plenty of other fast‑food burgers I’d choose before coming back. I ordered ahead about 10 minutes, but it still wasn’t ready when I arrived. There’s no designated pickup area, so you have to wait in the regular line—which was very long—just to ask about your online order.
