Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

I recently placed an order for our high school soccer team for a post game dinner. Everything was great. Lauren had our order ready on time, boxed accordingly and had condiments all ready for pickup. The boys loved the chicken sandwiches.

Our family loves coming to this location. Its a fun place for family night with a friendly and upbeat atmosphere!! Heianah (hey hey) is so sweet every morning when I come get my breakfast Toquitos. She is absolutely a delightful soul to greet at the door and very polite. This ba far is my favorite location!!! The managers care about families as well as veterans. Thank yall for your AMAZING service and support for us veterans.

I’ve never experienced anything like this at any restaurant. I ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I was given a cheeseburger with bacon instead. I started to pull off the cheese but decided to simply return it and ask for the correct one. When I returned it, the same sandwich, with the cheese visibly torn off, was brought back to me. Not once or twice; this happened four times!! Only the bacon was removed; the sandwich itself was clearly the same one each time, torn cheese and all.

This isn’t just poor service; it’s a food safety and professionalism issue. Customers should not be repeatedly handed back the same incorrect, tampered-with food after requesting a correction!

To make matters worse, my friend (who was reluctant to say anything in fear of retaliation) was told his order wouldn’t be fixed because staff claimed “that’s not what he ordered,” even though he always orders a double, I heard him order a double, and he was willing to be charged for it (for the second time). No itemized receipt was provided.

This is just sad. I do hope that management addresses this, because this experience fell far below Whataburger’s standards!!

Went here for their soft opening and all I can say is Whata-team!!!! They did fantastic!! It was busy but they did a great job communicating and getting everyone served in a timely manner. The service was friendly and they already cultivated a family with their team. The trainer upfront was patient and plugged in to make sure to help. But also had a great attitude. They brought a piece of Texas right here to the upstate and I love that!! Mrs.Ruth was there at all the tables to make sure everyone was having a good time and knowledgeable on the menu items. The young man Kendal didn’t let one piece of trash hit our table. This is really such a special and great experience. Thank you whataburger in Anderson for bringing us back to Texas! I look forward to coming back again and again!

I had a friend at work to order me a spicy chicken sandwich combo. The order can up to $24 and some change. We when it got here it was cold. When I opened up the chicken sandwich it was burnt! I thought oh it’s just dark, no it was burnt dry. The lettuce and tomatoes were old as well. This was my first time trying whataburger and my last. Everybody i talked to about the restaurant said they had good food. That was a lie. Not again. It didn’t deserve the 1 star I had to give to do the review.

if I had to sum up my experience here in a single word, that word would be “unremarkable”. I realize it’s fast food, the bar is low, but we got the honey chicken sandwich. the chicken was tough and chewy. there’s no reason why chicken should be tough and chewy. not only that, but the piece of chicken that they used only covered about 40% of the bread. that is absolutely not the fault of this Whataburger location, that’s the fault of the company itself.

We went on Sunday and surprisingly they were not busy. We ordered a Patty melt and a buffalo ranch chicken strip sandwich. The Patty melt was really good except they overloaded it with onions. Now the chicken strips were hard and too much breading. The onion rings are really good. The fries were okay. I will give them another try.

I was excited about Whataburger coming to our town n my first experience there was when they first opened. They were still getting in the groove. The burger was cold and not given as ordered but I overlooked. Visited the one in Anderson and a better experience. Learn as you go. Worth giving another try.

The best fries ever that I looked forward to were less than lukewarm. The burger seemed to have been reheated instead of fresh from the grill.
They were not busy at all.

The dining room closes at 8. The milk shakes are huge. Beware. lol. My kid wanted to try it to so we waited in line 39 min through but it was pretty good. They expected me to know the menu – though
