Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Welcome to a place where customer service is nowhere to be found.
The only way to order is on a touchscreen kiosk. You can’t grab your own drink due to the drink machine being out of order this causes you to have to try to talk around a brick wall to find an employee. My order came out missing three items. The food was not hot. The ice the employee put into my drink was all the way to 1 inch from the brim of the cup. This caused me to have to go through the annoying process of finding an employee again due to a barely filled cup.
The restaurant lobby is clean, but the restrooms are not. The paper towel holder is out of paper towel towels. The trashcan is overflowing and there’s an empty roll of paper towels laying on the sink.
When looking through the kitchen window to try to find an employee, I find the manager eating what looks to be a burger on the food line. Unhygienic and shocking to see.
Will not be coming back to this place.

It’s actually pretty clean here. I went late and there was a good bit of staff. They have a lot of customizations on their app and it actually works pretty well. The food is fine for what it is. You definitely feel better than spending a lot more at Five Guys or a bit less at another joint. But I’d still rather just make my own burger. They’ll bring your order to your table here.

Seemed slow. Place was empty even though arrived during normal dinner hour of 6PM (I was the only customer in dining room and little take-away seen). Still I waited over 15 minutes for a burger and fries. Staff appeared not interested in being there. Sandwich not prepared with correct condiments as indicted on order ticket. Beef patties did taste better/fresher than most fast food burger joints.

This review is based on a visit at 2am, so I will visit again at a different time for a more comprehensive assessment. I ordered a number 5 meal and specifically requested two patties, but unfortunately, my request was not fulfilled. Additionally, I ordered an apple pie and a brownie for dessert, but those items were also missing from my order. Given the positive reputation of this establishment as a burger restaurant, I must express my disappointment. The burger itself was not exceptional, and the fries closely resembled those served at McDonald’s, which are not particularly noteworthy. Nevertheless, I intend to revisit the restaurant at a different time to provide a more balanced review.

Came on opening day. Never been to one before so I was excited to get it. Wife goes the sweet and spicy burger and I got the jalapeno burger and a spicy chicken sandwich. All were very good. Staff were very friendly. Will 100% be back more. Excited to have a good 24/7 restaurant.

I’m going to try and be understanding.
The burgers are Ultra Thin Smash burgers. No problem, add extra patty.
I was there at 2pm. It took 23 min to get my food.
The Burgers…….Buns were chewy and cold. Maybe leftover from lunch rush? Meat & Toppings were good. I threw the JR. away and ate the meat & topping from the BBQ Burger.
The Fries and Onion Rings were inedible, went in trash. The fries were room temp and had the texture of being re-cooked. The Onion rings dripped of grease.
I ordered a side of Gravy to check it out. I got a box of Chicken Tenders & Gravy. Ok, it was free but somebody wasn’t reading the order screen.
Tenders were decent. Fresh but IQF industry standard.
As a F&B owner of 30years, my Opinion……
Good Product. Definitely better than the Clown with the fresh toppings of the Freckled Red Head! I think I hit them at the absolutely the wrong time. As a new location, they may not have worked out the production kinks.
I see the potential and WILL try them Again.

We don’t get to eat out much anymore but when my husband and I found out we were getting a whataburger we knew we’d have to hit them up. The line was crazy but to be expected. Everything was just as delicious as I remember from our many trips to Louisiana and Texas. I would advise looking up the menu if you’ve never been to get your order together before asked. The lady that took our order was bent on being disgruntle despite our attempts to lighten the mood. I couldn’t give all five stars this time because we paid for seven sauces and didn’t receive a single one.
