What the Fry opened a food truck in the Spring of 2021 under the Bluewater Bridge. Because of the success of our Food Truck, we decided to open a carryout location in Fort Gratiot to serve our customers year-round. What the Fry was voted by the community as the 2022 Best of the Best Burger winner! We feature Smash Burgers (Beef or Chicken), Crispy Chicken, Pulled Pork, fresh hand-cut French fries and much more. What the Fry’s reputation is growing quickly due to our delicious take on American culinary delights, such as, Cordon Bleu Crispy Chicken, Bacon Jalapeno Popper Smash Burger, French Onion Smash Burger, Bacon Blackberry Smash Burger to name just a few.

A fun hole in the wall place! It has a unique theme as an indoor food truck. If you like burgers and fries this is the place to go. They have the option of loading fries or tots with your burger (different and delicious). I got the Smashed Olive Burger Poutine and it was good! Highly recommend visiting.

Great execution on a new classic. I tried the Cajun w/ jalapeño and it was seasoned just right and not too spicy. The beef and cheese balanced well with the spice for a nice kick! They started as a food truck so the inside is decorated just like you’re outside, which is fun!

The burgers here are fantastic. They make everything to order. It’s well worth the wait. The Rodeo Cheeseburger, the Cheese Curds, the Swiss and Mushroom Burger, and the Bacon Ranch Mac and Cheese were delicious. The burgers were fresh, had a ton of toppings and cheese, but they were contained and easy to eat. I’d drive 45 minutes for this again.

First time ordering, Just for one of these main dishes it cost me about 9 dollars which is a steep price. The portions runs small, and the food is just decent nothing that will make you say wow this is good for the price.

There is not much room inside the actual restaurant. It is more of a wait your then to take the food to go. Their burgers are really really good and the pouting fries are excellent. They always have some sort of speciality burger each month. Their inside looks like a food truck as well to remember their roots.
