Highly recommend their wraps! My partner and I both are very fond of them!
A hidden gem in Wayne County!!
But the menu was VERY limited, VERY basic. Not a single item that I couldn’t make at home. We ordered a side of corned beef hash, side of home fries with onions, sour dough and two eggs poached,; uninspiring at best. But the portion was large and fed us both. I don’t think folks come here for the great food. The come for average food, large portion and reasonable pricing.
They have prime rib and fish fry Fridays so we will try that as well.
I’d recommend only because of the great service and atmosphere. The food was meh.
The atmosphere is FANTASTIC. The service is wonderful. Very kind, personable and prompt but that’s sort of where it ends.
Three folks ordered the fish fry. I was a WONDERFUL fish fry. Not beer battered but corn meal fried. It was not dry but yummy and flaky. However, the rice pilaf was pre-made box pilaf. I did ask before ordering and she told me it’s home made. Nop and no way. Thats packaged pilaf all day long. I ordered the pilaf and salmon. Salmon was definitely frozen, precooked and reheated. It was dry and tasteless. Came with a side of veggies I was told we’re fresh but they were clearly frozen peas and carrots. Fresh cut carrots would have made a big difference. It was a tasteless dinner i didnt eat but brought home to my chickens to eat.
Others liked the fish dinner but all felt the boxed pilaf was no good.
Nothing about this dinner was fresh nor tasty but somehow the staff and charming environment makes it okay. We will go.back with with full expectations to have meh food but great service in a charming space. Probably stick to a side salad and water.
Beers were reasonable at $4.95
Probably worth mentioning we moved here last year from one of Americas best foodie capitals, Portland Oregon. That often results in me not being happy woth boxed, frozen, precooked food when im accustomed to organic, fresh, new and exciting flavors with unique flair… sadly, upstate NY around here has none of that.
We will go again but for the service and charm, not the food.
Glazed Pork chop was on special, and had a delicious beer glaze.
Friendly atmosphere along with great food…
