Fun Diner. Lunchtime steak fries were suboptimal for me. The steak was good, but I’m not a fan of the breading. My wife got the pastrami dip which was my favorite. Kids got a burger and shaved ribeye dip. Both were eaten by picky eaters. Fries were deliscious all around, I sincerely recommend the tots. They tasted fresh and did not have a freezer burn taste. Best tots I’ve ever had. I hear Napolian Dynamite approves of these tots. Pepsi fountain drinks.

Wow! This place gave me such large portions of delicious food at a very reasonable price point. Everything seemed to be made fresh, even though I visited the drive thru. Highly recommended! Keep on doing what you’re doing, West Side Drive in!!

I ordered a meal: a double cheeseburger with bacon and opted for ‘make it old school’ (ketchup, mustard, pickles as the only toppings beyond the base burger)
I also opted for a local draft beer. (As happy hour was going on, scored a Boise Light at half price)
The drink was no slouch, but the burger and fries were good enough that I forgot I had a drink at all!
Big compliments to the cook as the patties were as perfect as one can expect. Tender, juicy, flavorful, and not heavy or dripping.
Bacon was crispy but not needlessly hard.
Fries are a tasty, ever-so spicy house blend and were both crispy outside while still being tender inside.
Great 50’s era ambiance played in the background to the credit of Rosemary Clooney and Nat King Cole this evening.
Staff was cheerful and attentive.
Orders are delivered quickly and with great care.
10/10 would recommend again.

This is a nice dinner. The service is great. The restaurant is clean, including the bathrooms. I like the 50’s decorations and vibe. Try their fish and chips. Very delicious! The bread pudding is amazing! This is a great place for traditional American food.

We stopped by Westside Drive In in Boise after hearing it was the place to try Idaho’s famous finger steaks—and it did not disappoint! The finger steaks were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And of course, we had to try their famous ice cream potato—what a fun and quirky Idaho treat! It looked just like a baked potato, but was actually a delicious ice cream dessert. The retro 50s diner vibe added to the charm and made the experience even more memorable. This place totally lived up to the hype. A 5-star stop and a must-try if you’re in Boise!

So I’m from Texas and never thought any other state could have “steak fingers” better than us. Boy was I wrong. These were the best, made fresh to order and so good! Next time I come back to visit I will definitely back! The best finger steaks I’ve ever had!!
